I won't have the time to participate, but I'm happy to chip in as a panelist.

Roy, I reserved us a booth.

Not sure if I'll have the time for team owner, but if I'm acceptable as a panelist, I'd be up for that ... team owner I wouldn't be able to commit to until I find out my schedule at the end of April. (Cool idea, Nick - TP)

I think it would be cool to have a Pick-Two type draft for a specific historical year, too ... down the road, of course. ;)

I will put you in as the fourth panelist and if you want to commit to being a team owner, we can switch you over. Thanks for joining.

Looking for one more panelist and lots more team owners

I'm not sure I will have time to participate but it sounds really fun and I've never experienced these CB games before so I'd say count me in!

You guys should check out whatifsports.com.  Exactly what Nick has presented it does - you pick your team (there's no draft though, so you could still hold the draft here).  You can have a team of

Shaq - 1999-00
Malone - 1996-97
Pippen - 1994-95
Allen - 2005-06
Paul - 2007-08

Playing a team of

Hakeem 93-94
KG 02-03
Dominque 91-92
Mitch Richmond 95-96
Rondo 09-10

And each team has benches too, then it sims the game, and gives you a full box score and everything, and it does this for a full 82 game season (simming 2 games per day). It keeps full stats and standings too.

You got to play to pay though.  I think if you never signed up before it costs like $4.95, if you had played before its $9.95 for a full season which lasts about 5-6 weeks.  Check it out http://www.whatifsports.com/nba-l/main.asp

(I tried to present this last summer, but only like 4-5 guys expressed interest).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Wow, this sounds interesting, I probably don't have time to participate. But I wonder what sort of player we are looking at that gets picked at the end of the draft. Someone like Kenyon Martin? lol
Anything is possible!!!

I too am concerned about my availability this summer but I'll try my best. Plus, how can I deny a Nickagneta invite?

You can count me in.

P.S. I would love to Co-manage with someone!

Just the possibilities here are really thought-provoking..

Nice Job to NickAgneta for the Idea!

Jsaad - I'd certainly welcome yours (or anyone else's) Co-Managing expertise.

After all, Roy Hobbs helped me put together Our Highly Successful Pick Two Draft Mavericks team, so I wouldn't mind some help or another manager. I am settling into a groove (finally) with my college, but things do come up from time to time.

All looks like a go for me right now, though.

Need more people. This is a really fun thing and will help those inexperienced with these types of games on Celticsblog to participate in one of the best things we do here all year long, the Celticsblog NBA Draft, which will be coming around again in late July and August.

Thinking seriously about installing a no Michael Jordan rule where Michael Jordan will be the only player eliminated from the draft. I think his being so much better than any other player could cause bias in determining winners of the competition.

I will say however, that over the last two drafts I have participated in, I thought for sure there would be a Kobe and/or LeBron bias and yet, those teams struggled in the after the draft proceedings. So maybe not.

I would love to hear some thoughts from current panelists and players regarding this possible rule.

You gotta keep Jordan.  The guy was practically The 90s.

It all depends on the team the person builds around him.
