Good news is I got my playoff tickets in the mail today. Good news?  >:( :( ::)

The Garden's gonna be ugly if they mail it in the playoffs the way they have so often at home in the regular season,

It wouldn't be mailing it in if they lost in the playoffs. It would be either loss of talent, loss of chemistry, or a coach not using his talent right. Not sure which, but I doubt we'll see something similar to this.

I sure hope not, but bad habits are hard to change cold turkey.

Perhaps you haven't heard about this magic "switch" they're going to flip.

I'm not so sure it's magic when it looks like it exists and was on full display just 6 days ago.

I bet this team has not played 10 complete, quality games this season.

Do you think Kg realizes we don't boo the fact that they are losing, we boo because they lacked effort, pride, and heart tonight. I kind of hope Doc shuts down the big three until the playoffs, let them rest up and maybe they can summon the strength to try during the playoffs

I'm not really upset about this game- it's obvious that sometime in the second quarter they just decided to mail it in. Totally meaningless game anyway.
BUT, it is disturbing how bad KG and PP still look at times. Also KG whining about the booing is pathetic.
And Big Baby- I almost have to look away whenever he gets the ball ::)

I laughed and laughed and laughed at Doc when the Celtics were trying to make a comeback. They needed energy on the court so Doc put in Rondo and the Geriatrics:

Rondo
Finely
Pierce
KG
Rasheed

Surprisingly when Doc finally gave up with less than 2 minutes left and went with some youth, they quickly got the game within 6.

it will be over soon. like prolly in less than 2 weeks. i dont see this team doing anything in the playoffs. and honestly you are your bad habits now.

i find it comical these guys think they are going to be a factor and all of the sudden be a good team.

It might just possibly be the worst thing ever for the league if the Celts end up winning a championship after the way they played the last few months.  If a team can win it all after playing with complete apathy for long stretches, especially in front of their ticket buying fan base, it will not be a good precedent.

And yeh, I know teams have taken it easy and done well in the playoffs before, but not to this degree.  If this somehow ends up being a recipe for success (which I doubt) it will be a very bad thing.
Yup

At least when they get bounced, it won't feel so bad bceause it's expected. Kind of like knowing someone who's sick and mourning their death while they're still alive.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
This team has quit.  They are hurt and there is a bad vibe.  Whatever Ubuntu stuff they had a couple years ago is LONG gone...

I sense this team will mail it in come playoff time and they will be the joke of this year's postseason.  They don't deserve anything...

Sadly, it doesn't really bother me...their lack of passion has zapped mine as well, so the sooner this joke is over with the better off we'll all be.  KG can go back to his crib and Paul can consider his future.  Perk can decide if he wants to be a scorer or just play his role and Danny will have to decide if he wants to re-up Ray Allen, who is on his last leg.

But I'm mostly looking forward to a summer full of "we can't live without Tony Allen" and the "you know, Scal wouldn't be bad to have back" threads... :)
