no offense to anyone here, but i couldn't boo my home team...i would leave or stew, but not boo

i sure could after this tonight. they aren't college kids. this is their jobs. they get paid more money that we can imagine to work 3 hours a day playing a game. it isnt too much to ask them to  at least try. i could see if this was the first time getting blown out at home...but this is another bad, uninspired effort at home.

This could end up being the third 20-point loss at home this season.

just unacceptable for a team with boston's talent

Our worse game of the last two month. I hope this is just one off and not something that will take us back.

I feel the same way. Things don't get any easier next week either.

Need to get back on track against a feisty Thunder team. It won't be easy.

They're more than just feisty. They're [dang] good. C's could lose that game.

If they play like they did tonight against the Thunder... it will be a lot uglier than this. They'll be running up and down the court on us all day.

Same. I love these chaps. I might be weird, but I consider myself a fan, and in thus I cheer for my team. I go to a game to cheer them on, not just for "a night out". I'm quite a competitive man, and I'll get angry for losses like this, but I'm not going to boo my own team.

In fact, I think it sits right up there with calling the Celtics "Them" when they lose and "We" when we win.

We lose, We win.

And when we do, I'm embarrassed. Not booing.

If you spent a lot of money on season tickets and saw a continuous lack of effort, maybe you would have a different opinion. As I said earlier, if you were listening to the Celtics radio broadcasters, you would be incensed because they are talking about how bad the effort is tonight.

Worst home court loss in 4 years tonight.

Do you guys think the Nets fans boo them all the time?

No, because they stink, but they probably give more of an effort in most of their games than the Celtics have given tonight. They mailed this in. Disgraceful.

I ask this in the nicest way and I mean no offense...where were you during the last 5 games?

I posted earlier that I have been staying out of the game threads, win or lose, and, I was at the last two home games so it is hard to be in the game threads. I just had to come in here tonight because of the total lack of effort shown by this team. It is embarrassing. But I don't ahve to justify anything to you. I disposed of you a long time ago.
I didn't ask you to justify your whereabouts. I was just curious...and just so you know..i'm not a fan of you either..hate away.

Sorry, but this is embarrassing. 24 points in the second half. But I hope the fans don't boo because it might hurt the Celtics' feelings.
I'm not worried about their feelings. You guys are totally missing the point. The crowd has been silent all night. Even the announcers mentioned it. The crowd is timid and very, very easily annoyed with a bad stretch. They go into silent mode rightaway, and hardly make themselves heard when there's controversial calls.

I really think our crowd has been bad for a while. Not blaming the loss on it, not saying they shouldn't get their money bag for todays effort.

Just saying they're a horrible home crowd and I would never boo a team I love.

But that's just me.

Might have something to do with how poorly the team has played at home this year. I have attended about 20 games and the fans have now started to expect second half collapses. Just sayin'
So you expect something, get it, and then boo? So you go there to expect to go "boo"? Then why go there if the point is that you don't want to pay for a loss like this? So you buy something you know you will probably dislike, and then start complaining?

Probably go 1-2 in these games. Loss to Cavs, win over Houston, and OKC is a tossup.

You can boo, be quiet or leave. I have left one game early since I have had season tickets and that was this year's embarrassment against Dallas. So my choices are to be quiet, which I often am, or boo, when it is clear that they are not even trying, which they did not do tonight.

Well, as bad as this game has been, we've had a really good stretch up til now.

I still Believe.

We've got OKC soon..we'll get back on track.

We've turned it up a notch the last couple of weeks I think. Doesn't mean that we won't have some hiccups here and there.

Tonight was a Hiccup. Plain and simple. It will go away.

Momma always told me that you grow when you hiccup. Celtics will grow from this.

It's just one game. Sure the lack of effort tonight is upsetting, but overall I'm happy with the C's of late.

Are you assuming a win vs. OKC?

Why not? We throttled those youngsters on their home floor earlier...Pierce matched probably the most potent offensive player in the game nearly point for point in that game, and then KG took over in that third qtr.

I predict more effort and more intensity next game. And a Celtics Win.

Dear Celtics....

Any pride left? Any pride to show up and defend home court? I mean this was the start to a big week at home. It only gets tougher. Thunder are legit. Rockets are sneaky and the Cavs..well they beat you down in the second half like you stole something the last time they were here...can you at least put forth some effort?

Hard to find anything. Very poorly played. Poorly Coached. KG trying but getting out quicked every time is very disheartening.

OKC is not to be taken for granted. Could go either way - OKC always puts in a solid effort.

Spurs are improving on D but caught the Celts on a bad night, too, hence the blowout.

Hope to see you guys in the Finals instead of those MVPuppets :)
