this is to jump start the league again.  I have sent messages to almost everyone from the league (via emails from the yahoo page).

We need to find out who is returning, what players are being kept, and when the draft is going to take place.

We will have at least one vacancy, maybe more, so I will be filling that at some point before the draft.

If you are a returning member, please feel free to post so that we can get this going.

I'll give it another go this year, although I'm still getting the hang of fantasy baseball.  Are our rosters available somewhere?

I think it's going to be hard to compete with some of the teams that have stacked keepers.  I mean, when a team is returning six (or is it seven) all-stars, the rest of the league is in trouble.  Still, it should be interesting to see how things shake out.

You should be able to get your roster by going into your fantasy profile on yahoo.

I can also send rosters if need be.

we could talk about, and I think we have had some conversations about limiting the number of times you can keep a specific guy.  I am not sure there are really any other solutions to 'stacked' teams.

Any solution on making the keeper policy more complex is going to mean a lot more bookkeeping for you.  The simplest solution I've used in keeper leagues for making their be some premium for keeping guys extra years is to assign each player a $1 salary for each year they've been continuously "kept".  Then set a keeper cap for both total amount of players and total amount of salary.  Make it as loose of as stringent as you like.

Basically, each year a guy is "kept" you add a dollar towards the cap (players keep their "salary" when they're traded)

stop snitchin will be back in the league.

i don't think 7 keepers is too much considering you're starting close to 20 guys.  There's still going to be a lot of real quality players that are going to get axed.

*just went to the league page to look at the final results and i had completely forgotten that the knuckleballers beat my team in the semi-finals AND y'all hate in the finals with the tiebreaker (knuckleballers + yahoo! in cahoots!?!?!??!).  Needless to say i'll be looking for revenge in our next matchup.

Are there any teams THAT thin?  I have at least 11-12 guys I really want to keep.  I guess some teams have almost all superstars as keepers, but I feel REALLY good about my top 6 at least...

Glad to see people responding.

So far, we appear to have everyone signed back up except for:

"GomesFan"
"Sac Fly"
"The Knuckleballers"

Once we hear from those 3 either in the affirmative or negative, we can set a draft time.

In the meantime, feel free to send me your 7 keepers.  once I have everyones, I will post them in one post...
