Celtics go up 8 four minutes into the third and Detroit responds well again.

The Pistons gradually work their way back into the game and finish the quarter with a nice spurt that gives them a three point lead. Nicely done.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Big Baby is an extremely frustrating basketball player.

Shelden Williams...is just not very good.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

I think this time it was the refs who responded

is there a player on the c's with a lower bbiq than davis?
If you're going to be using one game to push a point, I can name at least two more: Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce.

No, I'm not using just one game. Davis constantly gets block and rarely even looks to pass out of the post.

Bad shot by Nate, but he really needs to play more.

When we were up 64-56 with a chance to push it into double digits...Rondo decided to start goofing off on offense---WASTING 2 possessions in a row---Which let Detroit BACK in the game---when they looked like they were ready to pack it in...yep.

Big triple from Nate. They needed that.

"Glen can't believe he missed the shot"

Uh, well, Glen.. You NEVER make shots around the rim.

we're not playing great, but yeah, there has been some horrible refereeing in this game. we're getting hammered with no-calls, detroit gets touch calls or calls when there are no fouls on us.

Charlie Villanueva is a junkballer and looks like a space alien.

We seem to be in a bit of a groove, with some decent passing.

Detroit shouldn't have waived Deron Washington.

He would be able to help the Pistons more than this small backcourt + help balance out the defensive liability known as Charlie V.

I would love to see Doc shorten his rotation.

I think all of these bodies and changing pieces are leading to disjointed play.

I'd say lack of intensity is a bigger factor.  There's a lot of standstill gazing that's leading to lost rebounds and fast break opps for the Pistons.
