Pierce played really good D later in the game. Anthony was abusing him early, but nobody can guard Anthony one-on-one. I'm glad Paul still tried on the defensive end even though his shots weren't falling. I really appreciate the effort.

and the way PP played on defense tells me that his thumb and his legs just dont have it right now...his offense is suffering

a few things....

ONE SIDED REFFING

Rondo's feet were in CEMENT on defense today---CONSTANTLY letting everyone Blow by him.

Pierce should sit out til he's healthy---we were playing 4 on 5 today (4 on 8 if you count the refs).

Not too bad though--it was the 3rd game in 4 days...we looked a bit run down--and it was in the MILE high city...at least we never gave up-!!

He got 4 blocks. His defense was OK overall and great at times. I think the thumb is bothering him more than the knee, although the knee (or the foot?) is still bothering him because he looks really slow.

This is the kind of loss I truly hoped we'd put in the past. Shooting ourselves in the foot in the 1st quarter then trying hard but failing to dig ourselves out of the hole. If we played the 1st quarter like we did the rest we'd have been in a good position to win.

i wouldn't put too much into this loss...they were playing their 3rd game in 4 days...vs the second best team in the west after denver lost to the wiz..plus you figure in the karl thing back at home...

i am very encourage today with Ray, Daniels, baby and KG....rondo and PP didn't play well today. but this isnt a big deal.

if you would have told me after this road trip, boston would go 3-1 (one win vs the lakers) and come home a game/1.5 out of second place in the east...i would have told you that is just what the doctor ordered....

and we did all of this with a VERY short bench (no eddie or nate yet)

It's not the loss that bothers me but the way we lost. We've been burned so many times by the slow starts to know better by now. I just hope it's blip and not a slide back into bad habits  On the back to back they managed to have a competitive 1st quarter so I'm not happy with today. But I agree there's lots more positives than negatives to take from this game and the trip overall.

BTW, the whole Nate Robinson situation is very odd to me. He is not even sick. And we have heard next to nothing about Marcus Landry.

We just beat the Lakers. Yeah it was without Kobe, but oh well who cares? I doubt the Hawks or Orlando cared that they beat us without Pierce, KG, or whoever.

And while Portland isn't really a contender, they're still a very good team.

I just noticed we only got outscored by 2 in the 2nd half and finished the 4th quarter even. I have mixed feelings about that. Kinda happy about the progress given our recent woes but sad we lost by 9  :-\

Marcus Landry IS next to nothing

Not too long ago people were afraid that we were going to be 0-4 this trip. After the relatively tight win against the kings, a lot of people were certain we would be 1-3.

I don't say this to claim we are now the best team in the world, just to put things in perspective. Regardless of the loss today, things are now much, much better than many of us expected not too long ago.

The insanity workout schedule DVD is difficult but does allow the body to recover, a number of short breaks being included throughout the program. It was one of the greatest victories in presidential history.
You should tackle the problem of how to get rid of fruit flies by discarding all the overripe or rotten fruit. If you have opened any fruit juice or vinegar container, make sure you seal them up properly again.
