The NBA and NFL both have a long way to go before reaching peace with their unions (or before a lockout for that matter), but both are currently looking at a strike/lockout for the 2011-2012 seasons.  If both end up missing a portion or all of that season, what will that do to sports in America.  Will the NHL and MLB have a re-birth.  Will it be all about college sports.  Will networks missing their fix turn to MMA and back to boxing.  Will lesser sports like soccer, tennis, etc. become more mainstream.  How much damage will be done to the NBA and NFL if they do miss their seasons.  Will it be like MLB and NHL after their most recent work stoppages, or will it just be business as usual when they pick back up.

So many interesting things to ponder as the deadlines become closer and closer.
