A big PG so Nate can be the SG on offense.

Just  saw this on Mike Jame's most likely getting bought out... Would he be a pg you would like to bring in wdleehi, even though he is only 6'2.

He is done.

Just wondering... Who is a guard that you would like to bring in because I can't think of many who will be bought out that I would like sign.

No clue.  I was looking at the Celtics roster, not trying to guess who may or may not be bought out.

Daniels is the SF the Celtics need.  TA is the defensive SG.  Nate is a small PG sized offensive SG.

They just don't have a true backup PG.

I like Nate as the back up pg, I'm hoping to get a good swingman, someone like Miller or Raja Bell would be a homerun but both of those scenarios, I believe, don't have a good chance of happening.

I'd almost rather bring back Mark Blount than see a Mike James/Nate Robinson backcourt duo.

  Almost.

I shiver (in dread) at the thought of Mike James/Nate Rob.  Please, no more Mike James talk...

I was wanting a bigger, more physical backup to spell Paul sometimes.  Daniels is fine against some SF's though.  I'd feel better about bringing in a more physical guy to back up Paul, and have Daniels be primarily used as Ray's backup.  I know TA has been better than expected, but the expectations were so low to begin with.  I don't trust him at all. Use him only when PP, Ray, or Daniels are injured would be my preference.

I haven't really watched enough of Nate to know how he'll do backing up Rondo.

I agree with the need and actually thought it was a much higher need than backup PG.

It is a piece that will be needed against CLE, ORL, and ATL....

Mike Miller at least fits the dimensions and can shoot...he would be an interesting candidate.

If Miller gets bought out, I'm sure the cavs will somehow find a way to grab him too

Definitely going to be looking for a backup that can play physical at the 3, and offers the only thing Quisy/TA don't:  3pt shooting.

Prediction:  Unfortunately, a Mike Miller buyout is a pipe dream, as the Wiz will be looking to add assets this summer by using him in  a sign/trade deal.

Observation:  Having this discussion now just reinforces that Danny/Wyc haven't been able to fill the void left by Pose.  He was (past tense) a unique player in an important role.

Worse case scenario:  Doc ends up using Scal at the 3 to match up with bigger opponents at that position.  The bright side is that Doc would actually be paying attention to matchups...

Do you have a prediction of who we could land as a taller backup 3?

If they get bought out (and in no particular order):
Joe Alexander
Hakim Warrick
Carlos Delfino
Jarvis Hayes
Al Harrington
Larry Hughes
Dominic McGuire
Roger Mason
Josh Howard
Tracy McGrady

I'm intrigued by Hakim Warrick and Roger Mason and maybe Josh Howard depending on his drug problems and maybe Al Harrington depending on his age.

Yes, please.  Thinking about the time that Mike James played with us (as a starter no less) makes me want to vomit.

I wouldn't mind another big for insurance.

Tony Battie possibly.   Does he have anything left?

No clue.  It's always hard to read the buyout market until it happens.  Roger Mason would like out of San Antone and would be a nice pickup, but is a SG at 6'5".  Will Miami buy out James Jones, the little-used 6-8 shooter?  This is probably the level of talent that'd be available:  not better than TA, but with a different skill (shooting, size).

Possible to pick up someone else, i.e. taking a flier on comeback guys like Darius Miles, Wally Scissorback, or (gulp) offering some forgiveness to the now-thicker Ricky Buckets?  Or giving a D-League guy a shot?

I think someone will get picked up, but probably won't amount to much.  Doc will probably just go with Scal at the 3 either way.
