Ray, Baby and two #1s for Stoudemire and Barbosa.

Barbosa is owed a lot of money and PHO doesn't want to lose Amare for nothing.

If they balk at this do Ray, Perk and one #1 for the same,

with the first deal we end up with:

Rondo
Daniels
Paul
KG
Amare

Barbosa
Eddie
TA
Sheed
Perk

That would be crazy line ups, but fun nonetheless....

I think one of the two #1 picks would need to be well into the future and unprotected. 2013 or 2014.

Otherwise, it doesn't create enough value for the Suns.

Phoenix rejected the Cavs offer of Big Z + Hickson + first round pick + Danny Green.

And willing to pay Amare $17-20 million a year on a three year contract extension (four years) or a five year deal this summer?

Well, we're paying Ray that right now.....plus, Paul could come in with a cap friendly extension.

I just think letting Ray's expiring deal not be utilized puts us in a very difficult situation given that letting it expire doesn't free up money to sign quality player

Rondo + Amare + Perk = let's say $37 million in 2012/13.

After adding one late first round pick + cap holds for empty roster spots, the Celtics would have a payroll of around $43 million. Against a cap of say $55 million, the Celtics would have enough cap space to add another impact player to the team.

And enough cap space to add a maximum contract player should they decide not to re-sign Kendrick Perkins.

I'm happy enough to pay Stoudemire that type of money. It's not a friendly contract and makes me hesitate for a few moments.

But, in the end of the day, I'd be willing to pay him that type of money to acquire him.

Well, maybe they played a game of chicken and lost.  They might lose Stoudemire for nothing this summer.

What with the KMart trade to Houston, and Cleveland being out of play now, and NY and Chicago still wanting cap space, I just have a strange feeling that Danny's not done with just getting Nate.  I won't believe Ray is staying until after 3:00 tomorrow.

If Phoenix had any use for a guy like Perk, they might do that 2nd trade, with an extra pick thrown in.

KG and Amare is a nice frontcourt for Rondo to work with.
