That was amazing because the offense was so awful in the fourth quarter. I have no idea how they won that game, but part of the reason was the refs let both teams play and the Celts were more physical. Still LOTS of work to do, but a satisfying win for sure. The fourth quarter offensive collapse has got to be fixed.

I was encouraged by Garnett showing some lift, and getting that key rebound late in the 4th. Maybe Ray will get on fire now too.

I just cannot begin to understand why a team that thrives on ball movement and team play decides to just put the ball into one guy's hands and hope he can score 1 on 1 when the game is on the line.

That's what basically every professional basketball team does.

Bad game but very funny.

Nate Robinson can solve most of the Boston problems by himself.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
After watching this game I'm starting to think Pierce is the problem with our offense.

So sick of the Pierce isos, however he was effective in getting to the rim that last play. Tough break for the refs not to make a call on that. I'll take the win...Kobe or not

  • Rondo = Good
Very nice to see them win, but it feels kind of hollow because I don't feel like they deserve it.  Their execution down the stretch on the offensive end was atrocious.

If the Lakers had Kobe in this game they certainly would have won.

Good win. The Celtics beat a very good team tonight.
Yes they did.

Also Garnett looked great today, he had more lift and lateral movement than I've seen from him in a month.

Pierce less so though he was moving better. His shot was really off, I'm worried that they wrapped his hand.

Amazing defense in the last 5 minutes of the fourth quarter.

Fun finish to this game

Nothing about this finish is fun. The game should be over and the C's should never have been in this position.

And the Pierce isolation ends with another miss.

Has to be the worst offensive display by the Big Three in a 4th quarter since they were put together.  It's hard to fathom that the best players of the Celtics combined for ZERO points in a crucial 4th quarter.  Hard to believe but they all failed miserably, especially KG and Pierce.  Choking down the stretch is painful to watch.  The 2 missed free throws by Pierce almost cost them this game.

Well the Celtics managed to beat a Kobe-less Laker team tonight.  The defense in the 4th quarter was outstanding there is no question.  Of course it helped that Kobe wasn't on the floor which made a huge difference.

It is nice to win a game like this for once instead of choking it away.  Of course it has to be said that the C's managed to barely hang on against a team missing it's best player.  They scored 11 points in yet another miserable offensive quarter which has become normal in recent weeks.  The C's are just old, tired and worn out by the end of the game.

The BIG THREE choked miserably in the 4th quarter.  Hard to believe these guys couldn't make one basket combined in the last 12 minutes.  Maybe Nate Robinson will make a difference?  The Celtics better hope so because there are no other answers coming to town...
