Very nice to see them win, but it feels kind of hollow because I don't feel like they deserve it.  Their execution down the stretch on the offensive end was atrocious.

If the Lakers had Kobe in this game they certainly would have won.

Yes, but their defense won the game for them! Lakers didn't deserve the win anymore than we did.

What is amazing is that some here will even go so far as complain that the refs helped us to avoid giving the team any credit whatsoever.

By the way, Pierce was hacked in that last play, by both Odom (look at his right hand if you have it on tivo) and Gasol (jumped towards pierce and bounced him).

My only issue tonight is Doc once more taking close to 6 minutes to adjust to a line up that was clearly killing us.

After watching this game I'm starting to think Pierce is the problem with our offense.
That's been said before.

Finally....playoff defense from the C's.  Win or Lose that was the most encouraging thing about this game.  Best KG effort in awhile and Perk woke up.

I'll take it.

Gotta love the defensive! Hope pauls thumb isnt a problem.
Cant wait to see Nate tommorrow night, we really just need his scoring off the bench.

Last quarter of offense was awful and it scares me to see the pattern of trying to run the clock out continue.

Yes and no.

A healthy Kobe, sure. But he was a net negative to their team while he was so banged up. Gasol, Bynum, and Odom getting more touches inside is a good thing for the Lakers. Kobe needs to play from the perimeter more.

Furthermore it wasn't just awful execution, the refs let both teams play very aggressive defense. The Lakers and Celtics are probably the best two defensive teams in the league. The Celtics don't look like it at times just because they give up so many second shots.

And the Pierce isolation ends with another miss.

Has to be the worst offensive display by the Big Three in a 4th quarter since they were put together.  It's hard to fathom that the best players of the Celtics combined for ZERO points in a crucial 4th quarter.  Hard to believe but they all failed miserably, especially KG and Pierce.  Choking down the stretch is painful to watch.  The 2 missed free throws by Pierce almost cost them this game.

Well the Celtics managed to beat a Kobe-less Laker team tonight.  The defense in the 4th quarter was outstanding there is no question.  Of course it helped that Kobe wasn't on the floor which made a huge difference.

It is nice to win a game like this for once instead of choking it away.  Of course it has to be said that the C's managed to barely hang on against a team missing it's best player.  They scored 11 points in yet another miserable offensive quarter which has become normal in recent weeks.  The C's are just old, tired and worn out by the end of the game.

The BIG THREE choked miserably in the 4th quarter.  Hard to believe these guys couldn't make one basket combined in the last 12 minutes.  Maybe Nate Robinson will make a difference?  The Celtics better hope so because there are no other answers coming to town...

lol, do you always follow something positive with a negative? :P

Fun finish to this game

Nothing about this finish is fun. The game should be over and the C's should never have been in this position.

Not in a game like this. This game was a playoff battle.

Great win by our Celtics..held on for a change....Perk was Awesome on the boards..way to carry us in the 1st half, Ray Ray...I'll take this win, regardless of whether they had Kobe or not.

Indeed, a W is a W.

That was a great game, by both teams. If we can put that kind of effort out their the rest of the trip, we can really get the ball rolling again.

p.s we need a thing that tell's you if you've given someone a TP. I can't remember who i've already clicked in my euphoria. [dang] karma repeat warning.
