I know it's talked about often enough, but I'm shocked at how bad he looks the last few games. He is virtually useless, and a main cause of the poor play of the starters. I thought according to the celtics, he should have been getting his legs back about now, but he looks much worse than he did in november. I would gladly take the late november/early december KG for the rest of the season if I could. This leads to two questions:
1) Is he done? Will he be a shell of his former self from now on, or can he get back to at least the late november form?
2) If he is done, i.e. this is the KG we will have from now on, then why on earth is management trying to trade for guys like Nate and trying to win now instead of going into full rebuild mode? I mean, it's obvious to everyone that if KG is done, then we are not winning anything with this group ever again.
I was optimistic that although he would never return to vintage KG, he would be close to the KG we had in 2008 given enough time, mainly because management has been approaching the season as an all-out go for the title season (getting Daniels and Wallace, trying to get a backup pg instead of rebuilding, etc), but lately with KG looking worse instead of better I'm seriously concerned and questioning the rational of Ainge and the medical staff. What do you guys think?
