CavsInsider regarding Jamison, and concerning Boston :
Cavs have continued talks with Wiz about Jamison but sources say there is competition. Celtics are still involved, sources say.
Boston has been testing market for Rasheed Wallace, potentially to make room for Jamison. Source says all of that is unlikely, tho
I don't understand all this interest from the C's in Jamison and his terrible contract. If they trade for him, they won't trade for another player with a huge contract so it's a moot point in my opinion.
Sheed has been disappointing this season but he has shown that he can still be dominant in the post and play very good D, two crucial qualities that we will need for the playoffs. Yes, he is lazy and sometimes frustrating but he still our biggest asset off the bench with Marquis, and we need him since KG hasn't looked good so far. Having a 6th man big who can come off the bench in the playoffs to score easily with postups, stretch the floor and defend well on players like Howard, is a huge, huge asset and we can't give it up. Not to mention that Sheed would be better for us in crunch time than Perk offensivey.
Jamison would be an upgrade over Sheed obviously but he is not worth the salary and isn't a really good defender. I guess Boston is just testing the market for Sheed like the tweet said, and that they won't trade him, but who knows... sounds like a potential desperation ove from Danny, though.
So, does anybody know why Boston is still after Jamison (if this source is reliable)??
