As much as I am a die hard C's fan, in order for Danny to see that he NEEDS to upgrade the C's have got to show some deficiencies. They have to either barely pull one out vs the Kings or have a huge lead and blow it only to come back and win off a Pierce 3-pointer.
Let me make this clear: I am NOT ROOTING AGAINST the Celtics, but they do need a shot in the arm and squeaking out a victory against the lowly Kings should just do it. Danny shake up the team with a QUALITY trade to bring youth.

Do you agree or disagree.

Sacramento is 13-12 at home. That record is roughly equal to or better than nearly half of the teams in the Eastern Conference.

Sacramento shouldn't be underestimated as a cream-puff team.

Yes too far. Tonight's outcome will have no bearing on the decision whether to trade anyone or not. At least it shouldn'e if we havea  competent front office.

Disagree

Danny knows what this teams strengths and weaknesses are

Ho isn't going to have an epiphany just because the Celtics look bad tonight and suddenly say

"Wow!, Why didn't I see this all along!! We suck at this and that and have to do this and that right now or else we are going nowhere!!!"

That's not going to happen so we might as well play well and win the game

SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Tonight's game will have no effect on what the front office does. It will, however, affect the Lakers game on Thursday. We cannot limp into LA and expect anything but a blowout loss, and for that reason we need a blowout win tonight.

a blown big lead for a loss tonight would devastating with the lakers, blazers and nuggets on deck. we need to win. i dont care it if is a blow out or a 5 pointer. we cannot get up big and give away the lead again. if they lose tonight IMO they will finish 0-4 on the roadie. this sets the tone for the western kicker.

One game should not make a difference. If we come in and blow out Sacto does that mean that we should not do anything?

No not at all.... It's been said many times before, one game is irrelvenant. The thing is we've screwed up in over 10. Either we trade now, or go into a long dark rebuilding.... Again!

Which really sets the tone for the rest of the season if you put it in perspective.

So to the OP...this game tonight is very important to the pysche of this team and its fan base, but it will not lead a trade regardless of outcome.

Except after the last big 3 faded we didn't have point guard like Rondo. Even if we have to full rebuilding mode, you hand the keys to Rondo and it is a lot less bleak than it was back then.

You always win any way you can.  The holes have already shown themselves. Anyone that couldn't see them is blind or kidding themselves.

They had a young superstar SG that was considered the second best SG in the league after MJ at the time

That didn't work out too well
