Berger makes a point I've been banging the srum on here a bit, which is the Bulls desire for cap space should be preyed upon.

I think he totally overestimates the Cs appetite for Hinrich. I don't believe the Cs would do a deal like this with the Bulls (i.e. Ray Allen) for a package that included Kirk but didn't center around Deng. Hinrich will not be the main haul of any Ray trade.

I also think the appetite for Hinrich around the league is weak. Salmons could be movable, but i think the Bulls would have to sweeten the deal to get another team to give them back an expiring deal.

I'd be happy with the House and Scal for Ty Thomas deal (maybe we even throw in a pick). It has been said that they are getting tired of him (they suspended him for a game for activity detremental to the team). He would be the perfect player for KG to mentor.

Call me crazy but I think that you have consider New Jersey an attractive option for two max guys IF they get the #1 pick.  Then you have Wall & Lopez plus the opportunity to get a decent return on Devin Harris.  

Chicago's situation would be a little more enticing but NJ could be interesting.

I think you underrate the 'appetite' for Kirk.  In fact there is a team out in LA looking to add him.  His FG% is not a very big deal to most teams.

This has been bounced around a bit. Chicago is not likely to let go of Deng, thought I think they should. I can't imagine them agreeing to trade Deng without shipping out either Hinrich or Salmons tho. Caproom would be the whole point.
