Worst thing about this loss to me, is that Orlando isn't that great of a team, I'd put Cleveland and Atlanta ahead of them. The C's are making mediocre teams look good, what does that say about the C's?

Yeah, the fact that the Magic actually let the Celtics back into the game at the end is indicative of the level that both these teams are playing at.  Neither is a legitimate threat to Cleveland, in my opinion.  Cleveland may very well sweep the first two rounds again this year, and then win in 5 or 6 games in the ECF.

Looks like LeBron will get his first ring.  Our hopes rest with the Jazz and the Nuggets.  *shudder*

Well, you get mad at the players...what about the coaching...?
that was the biggest problem. Coaching in this game was terrible and not jr high worthy. These sub patterns are just awful. Last week it was allen that went MIA after having a good first half, today it was Daniels. I'm reallys starting to think Doc is not taht good. I know we won a championship with him, but it seems that he cannot handle the adversity this year.

If its plain to us what line up is working, why isnt it to him?
Back to wanting Joe fired.

The Celts played three good quarters, but the third was so bad that it didn't matter.

I guess the positive spin is that it would be pretty much impossible to play any worse than that coming out of halftime.

but roy that is the frustration. we continue to see horrible quarters by this team...the third quarters vs the hawks....the 3rd quarters vs the magic....the 4th quarter vs the lakers.....the 4th quarter vs the warriors and clippers...the third quarter vs the sixers.....they continue to play horrible quarters and lose because of it

At least back then we knew the Celtics were bad.  We could actually hope for something good coming from the losing (lottery pick).  Now, what do you have?  A team that should have a better record that can't seem to win big games even when they get a double digit lead going into the 3rd or 4th quarter.

That's more painful than watching a dreadful team on an epic losing streak.

That is what i mean...his part is to come up Defensive plans to stop the hot shooters, make his players think about layups, some to try a move or a dunk....coaching, not watching

Well, this is a disheartening loss once again. It sucks.

But I won't give up on this team anyway. The bench played great and Marquis return made a big difference.

The blame is on the starters for their once again poor 3rd quarter... don't know what they are doing at halftime but they have to fix it NOW.

Doc consistently gets out coached immediately after the half.

i just dont think this team has enough to win a 7 game series with atlanta, orlando or the cavs. twice now boston has orlando knocked out and just let them come back to win. mentally this team is weak

Yeah I agree, about it going without saying, just trying to put the current woes into perspective. I don't know what the solution is for this team, but they shouldn't be this bad, or even close to it.

He doesn't stay with what is working, as in TA vs LA, he has a talented team, but cannot get them to turn it on at all......a coach is the one who finds a way to get the talent to turn on and work...you have the players..!

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.
