So I have just about finished putting together the Pick 2 New York Knicks, that just so happens to not have even one current Knick on the roster

With 6 rounds done the Knicks have already drafted and/or traded for 10 players and will be amongst the deepest teams in the league in regards to quality and experience coming off their bench

Heck, three of the Knicks bench players are starters on three of the four best teams in the league right now

The team as a whole has talent, experience, great rebounding, outside shooting, low post players and scorers, ball handlers from several positions, great bench depth, good to great defense, plenty of athletes and plenty of big game experience

I think you've put together an interesting team, but I can't agree that it has deep playoff aspirations.  Your best player is Zach Randolph, who has never exactly been a playoff leader.  I think George Hill is probably too young to be the starting point guard for a good playoff team, and Ray and Grant Hill are ancient.

At the end of the day, I think you team might squeak into the playoffs, but I think it would lose in the first round.  I can't see it contending for the Atlantic, let alone the East.

Of course, this doesn't seem to be a popular opinion, as multiple folks have had nice things to say about your team.  It's all a matter of perception, anyway.

Out of all the teams I've seen thus far, I think I like Edgar's the best in terms of winning now.  There's no coincidence there, I guess, since he's my former CrotoNat co-GM.  Still, objectively, I'm a fan of Orlando.

The Lebrons and the Kobes will also be contenders, as well, and I like Bahku's Denver team more than some have expressed.

It'll be very interesting to compare these teams alongside one another once the roster's are finished. See where each team ranks in it's own division and conference, and, to see how much of a title threat they are.

Do you see the Knicks as being able to compete for a title?

 That team would be a lower echelon eastern playoff team. Also, it doesn't seem like they would be positioned especially well for a run next year either with randolph and nene on the books for large money. That team would seem like the wizards of the last few years. Good enough to be a 6th or maybe 5th seed, but not really a shot to get past the second round of the playoffs.

It seems like you are sleeping on the Spurs . Any team with Duncan and Parker probably makes the playoffs with three stiffs. The fact that I have a very solid nba center in Dalembert (see the comparison between him and perk in another thread), a good third banana in marion. Jack and Barbosa for depth in the backcourt. It gets pretty interesting...
