Maybe this will light a fire under them to get them to play better since people will be doubting them that they can still win it all with out Paul.

most people in here dont want that. They want them to lose or make dumb trades, so it shows how much PP means to the team. A losing mentality.

just not true. boston is running of healthy bodies and if PP is out for some time...then they will need to make a move. Scal as our starting SF will not cut it

Wow, if this had to happen, it's timed pretty perfectly. Marquis comes back just in time for Pierce to take a nice vacation. ::)

I remain optimistic that Pierce isn't out for the rest of the season. If the doctors remain inconclusive with the standard tests that they run, then it's not likely a bone in his foot split into two...

If he can get back for the playoffs, it really isn't a back-breaker.  People forget how often Shaq moseyed through the regular season, nursed injuries, then made it back to blow up in the playoffs.

If this team is healthy come playoff time, there's no reason to think that they still can't win it all.

Hope they're right about it not being serious.

the idea of Scal as our starting SF for a long period of time doesn't sit well with me.

Yikes, I was already having a bad day in business world and now I see this! UGH...

It definitely did not look good last night and I was extremely surprised after he went down, they let him back in. In those cases vs. The Wizards in a non playoff game, it makes less then zero sense to let one of your stars back on the court before getting results. This is beyond dumb in my opinion. What was Doc thinking? and that nickname has never been more inappropriate for him.

I once broke my foot during a tennis game. I did not know at the time and continued playing for 30 minutes until I collapsed on the court in pain. I am not an athlete but ended up being out of commission for close to half a year in one of those fun braces that you have no mobility in. My doctor asked me what I was thinking after I injured it to go back on court. I told him I was not thinking.

I am definitely not an athlete though and do not have access to the best doctors. I hope it is not as serious as we think it is. My fingers are crossed that my eyes are wrong with this.

seems like a lot of conflicting reports..i found this in the aldrige article:

Another league source, while acknowledging that Pierce hurt his foot Monday, also said there was not yet definitive word that Pierce broke his foot and that the injury "might be a lot less serious" than that. Celtics spokesman Jeff Twiss said Tuesday evening that the team's medical staff had yet to make a determination of the extent of Pierce's injury.

i am just praying it is something not too bad...i am all for sitting him this week if need be and to the all star break

I hope it's not really a broken foot, let's hope that the reports tomorrow will be positive and that Pierce will be out for a few games only.

But man, this team can't catch a break... when we think we are finally going to get back on track, bang, we get an injury to a key player.

This sucks. If Pierce is out for the season... wow. Speechless. :-X :-\

Even if Pierce is hurt, TA will keep us above water until Quis comes back. With Quis and TA splitting the Pierce minutes we will maintain the number 3 seed. When Pierce comes back healthy we'll be ready to make our stretch run for the playoffs.

The team has been together long enough that when Pierce comes back he should fit back in.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
