How about some props for the captain?  How tough is this guy to play the second half on a broken foot?  Look at his career: the knocked out teeth, the knee in the finals, how he barely has missed any time except for 07.  That's one tough hombre

we already knew this. The guy got stabbed like 10 times and was back on the court in a month .

Lol, my point exactly... I can't believe I even forgot that

Won't win next year either.  I am firmly convinced that the window for this team closes after this year.  So if PP is out for the year, we may have to blow it up completely.
Not necessarily.  There's enough here that a move or two puts this team right back in contention.  Ray's expiring contract has a ton of value.  Plus the other contracts.  They can easily position for a run next year assuming Pierce and KG come back fully healthy.
In theory.  Unfortunately, even if healthy, I envision both KG and PP to be worse players a year from now that they are today.  Age is catching up to these guys quickly.  No, by this time next year I don't think either could carry a team to a title.

yes, but winning a ring and a finals MVP and getting older hasn't made him any less tough or hungry. You gotta love the guy.

I'm reserving full panic mode until i hear what kinda of break it is.

if it's a 4-6 week injury, we'll still have an outside shot of being full strength by the playoffs.

If it's season ending, we have to move ray now.

I'm going to not join the "season over" crowd either.   If something is very inflammed, its hard to tell on an xray.. Swelling might have to go down before they can tell for sure.

I'm hoping everyone else steps up in the meantime and Danny makes some moves that make sense.

Pierce is one tough dude (stabbing, teeth knocked out, etc.).  He'll be back on the court, possibly for the playoffs.  A bit early to write off this year completely, though the odds of us winning it all probably just got a bit longer.

*We might lose a few more games, but hey, we're not looking at the 28th pick in the draft anymore, right?  Maybe a team will be more willing to bite on a trade including our pick if it isn't dead last.

Something will happen, but don't count us out yet!!!!

Not sure why everyone is in a panic, Its not like Paul was putting up numbers like lebron or kobe numbers this year or close to it. I think we can easily make up for his scoring out put with Tony Allen provided he keeps playing well. It might mot come until marquis is back because we are very thin at the 3 spot since Doc hates on bill walker.

Even if Pierce does come back he's not going to look good when he does. Anyone remember how fat he got back in 07?

I think it is safe to say that God is not a Celtics fan anymore  :'(

This team has spiraled out of control since Lucky was fired. You don't fire your mascot after you just won the championship. I don't care if the guys showed up to work like Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory(awful movie. sorry), you don't fire him.

Especially if his name is Lucky.

My favorite player in the NBA. Always has been, always will be.

well i dont know what to say expect that i am truly disappointed. PP to me is a guy that we cant afford to lose. my bet is you start tony until daniels gets back and then swap...but that really limits the bench.....we needed tony and daniels off the bench....

snd PLEASE PLEASE stop saying we will see bill walker. bill walker is not going to help this team. that ray allen to chicago deal for thomas and hinrich looks a lot better now

Maybe this will light a fire under them to get them to play better since people will be doubting them that they can still win it all with out Paul.
