Raja Bell would be a good replacement if we could get Maggette or Ellis

Bos sends: Ray,Scal,TA or Walker, 1st rd pick
GSW sends: Ellis or Maggette , Radmonovic, Bell

Celtics rank 30th in offensive rebounds?  Nice job Sheed.... ::)

As bad as Sheed has been, that is not really on him.  The whole team has been having a tough year rebounding.
To the extent that rebounding is about hustle -- I'd say a decent part of that IS on him.

It's tough to get an offensive rebound when they specifically call plays for you to be at the top of the key...

I feel like both KG and Sheed hurt our offensive rebounding numbers. It's difficult to get an offensive rebound when you are standing far away from the hoop setting up for deep jumpers. Both of these guys need to get back to the post.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

Over all I only mildly like this trade.  I'd probably end up doing it, but I don't think it really helps this team that much in the future.  I'm holding out hope that they can acquire a younger star through a trade.

However, as far as here and now, this trade is great.  I like Heinrich's game, and Thomas would be a massive upgrade rebounding and defensively over Davis.

I'd do this trade in a minute.

i'd do it in 30 seconds... ;)
Do Tyrus Thomas and Kirk Hinrich make the Celtics that much better over Ray Allen?
Wasn't the third guy a on the team a mid first round pick prospect?
It might make us worse now, but Ty Thomas as a future replacement for KG gives us a brighter future, without taking away too much this year.

I've seen nothing out of Thomas to think acquiring him will give us a brighter future; he's underachieved big time since joining the NBA.
I Agree

He and his former LSU teammate, Big Baby, aren't going to get that much better. Baby nor Tyrus Thomas are never going to be All-Stars in this league.

I feel like we have to be able to do better than Hinrich and Ty Thomas for Ray Ray.

I still really wish we could get Andre Iguodala.  Now that would give us a title chance in my opinion.  Good distributor, defender, and slasher.

Or the Ray for Richardson / Barbosa / Hill trade some others have proposed.  That would be better than this Bulls idea.

UPDATE:

Bill (Charlestown MA)

I read your proposed Ray Allen for Heinrich and Thomas trade. Seems like Chicago would be doing the Cs a favor. Would Chicago prefer to trade to a team in the West?

Put it this way, if Chicago was faced with two options for clearing cap room: trading for Allen, or trading for McGrady, what do you think they'd do? Unless Tim Grover is whispering in John Paxson's ear that McGrady is ready to go 36 minutes a night, I'd say the Bulls would opt for Allen.

Looks like Sheridan thinks this could happen it sounds like. Danny already made an offer for Hinrich with our other expirings but was turned down so you know he likes him, but the question is how much and what else we could get back along with Hinrich.

The only way I sign off on an Allen for Hinrich/Thomas swap is if they buy out Ray, which won't happen since they are a playoff team. Do people not see how big the dropoff is from Allen to Hinrich?

hinrich is not a 2 guard and we need scoring from the 2....he would fill the back up PG well...thomas makes us more athletic but where is he going to play? he is coming off the bench. this deal would instantly make boston the best bench in the league...BUT they would have no SG in this trade.

It's a significant drop off, and that's why I wouldn't be wild about that trade.

Maybe if we got Hinrich, Salmons, and Ty Thomas.  Maybe.  Still, I wouldn't be thrilled.

I would do Ray, BBD and 1st rd pick(if needed) for Hinrich, Ty Thomas and Salmons
