boston is a solid 3-4 seed that will win one round on the playoffs unless they make a few moves to get younger off the bench

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Seems Rondo didn't do much of anything after the 3rd.

Did he stop being aggressive?

Ha, Doc blaming "Lack of stops" for the loss?....Really Doc?...How about you get your team to stay aggressive offensively?

frustrating when your coach has ZERO clue on offense.
This coming from someone who talks to his shoe.......

Alright, I enjoyed that game so darn much! Haven't been so psyched up in ages. That was bloody awesome, and I don't care that we lost because it was an awesome game.

Thank the basketball gods for presenting us with this absolutely awesome piece of history.

  • You say when......
it was TA being out that changed our game,,HE was the spark..the first to hit the glass, he started rondo going too

This was the reason...!

Is it the players that are slowing the game down in crunch time with a lead or is it the coaching? I think it might be the coaching: a Pierce "take the time off and dribble into a pick and roll" was called out of a timeout.

Rondo makes good decisions with the ball, won't turn it over, and has even gotten great looks in past weeks when he has it. Too many bad things can happen in Pierce's hands.

Maxwell: Doc saying lack of stops is discouraging. He seems to not be seeing what I am.

I would KILL to have Tommy Heinsohn be our offensive equivalent of Tom Thib..!

I love the optimism, I really do, but it is no less misguided than the blind pessimism. Let me ask one question, and be honest:

If th Lakers had a January like we just did would you be worried about them? Would you be thinking, "Wow, this team is still a contender, look how well they play in those losses."

How about if it is was Cleveland? Orlando? Pick a team....

If the Lakers had a January like we just did you would not be anything but overjoyed at their collapse. And that, sadly, is what we have here. I do not give up on my team, but when the Celtics were up 11 late I turned to my son and said, "The Celtics are in trouble again."

The big three problems:
1. Doc Rivers is not able to finish games
2. Taking big leads and then taking jump shots instead of driving.
3. Forgetting this is not the same team as 2007. They can and will be beat if they let up.
Bleeding green for 36 37 years.
"Maybe we do suck. But at least we don't wear yellow."

Doc kept him on the bench TOO long and froze him out I believe.

I totally agree, Kiorrik.  Loved the game.  We played good Team ball, offense and defense.  I do not feel we lost that game!  And I do feel that we are on our way to championship form again.  KG got a little winded, there were a few mistakes, but all in all it was a cohesive unit.

FL....I have been dunking my donuts so hard I have coffee splashed all over the house.  Highway Robbery is sad....  :'(

Team keeps finding ways to lose. Thtats got to change. We also don't go inside enough. Don't think sheed went into the post a single time all game. And as far as rondo, he is great but he always will be a weak link in crunch time. He doesn't take those wide open shots because he can't shoot. And I am on record saying that he will never even be a decent shooter.

As far as where to go fom here, I am thinking we're going to do something to realistically compete for a title. We need a legit backup pg or a Posey type. I would rather trade our spare parts (including TA) than trade Ray. Also, I don't think this is the year to wait for guys bought out.  Even if we did, what makes anyone think these guys would us?

Doc has to come up with the CORRECT Formula/Cure to this BLOWING BIG LEADS thing----it HAS to be an adjustment---Teams are NOT this much better than us....I refuse to believe it.
