Considering that BBD has a considerable worse jumper than last year, is much slower on defensive rotations, and appears to not have anywhere near the lift he had last year I would argue that he isn't "the same" rather he has regressed substantially. The only thing I think he has improved is his free throw shooting. That is up a half of a percent. Let's at least be honest about his play. Here are Sheldens stats this year though:
12.7 min, 3.9 pts, .488 Fg%, .746 FT%, 3.4 reb, .44 blocks, .5 assists, .79 turnovers
per 36 to compare to BBD's stats below that is right at 10 boards, almost 11 pts, about 1.2 assists, and about 2 turnovers per game.
BBD's per 36 this year: About 9 boards (better than I thought it would be) , 3.5 turnovers, 1.2 assists, and about 12 pts per game.
Let's not pretend that BBD is really that much better of a player out there than Williams. Considering Glen's inability to step it up since he has come back, I think a little pine time watching Shelden would do him a world of good. I secretly hope they are putting BBD back in there to shop him for a trade knowing Shelden can fill his spot just as nicely at a lower cost.
