So we know for sure that, Amare, T-Mac and Igoudala are on the block.
How can The Celtics get in on on these players availability. Here goes
4 team deal
Boston Phoenix Rockets Philly
Get Get Get Get
Igoudala Carl Landry Amare T-Mac
Dalambert Ray Allen Scalabrine Chase Budinger
Earl Clark
Give Give Give Give
Ray Allen Amare T-Mac Dalambert
Walker Earl Clark Landry Igoudala
Scalabrine Budinger
Why for Boston?
Igoudala and Dalambert would give us an increased defensive presense and athletic swingman to cover Lebron and Kobe for the next few years. I love Ray Allen but if we don't trade his expiring deal now I don't see how we can improve this team in the near future. I think getting Igoudala and Dalambert would be an upgrade for giving up Ray, Walker and Scal.
Why for Phoenix?
Ray is just an expiring deal and they are going to lose Amare in the offseason. Why not get an athletic 6th man of the year candidate in Landry who is having a break out year, avg 16 points a game in 25 mins. If your going to lose Amare for nothing, why not soften the blow with an athletic albeit undersized 4 who could average 20 points a game with a full time gig.
Why for Rockets
Amare, Amare, Amare. Now they are probably more interested in Bosh but who knows if they can snag him in the offseason with their cap space? If they can get Amare now with Earl Clark who is a highly rated talent, they may have a better deal than trying to lure bosh in the offseason why they will have competitoin from Free Agent Havens in Miami and New York
Why for Philly
They need to blow it up. T-Mac's deal will take 20 million of their cap this offseason.Plus they may be able to sign and trade T-mac's deal in the offseason. They also get Chase Budinger, a good swingman prospect to soften the blow of losing iggy.
What do you guys think. I don't think its the ideal deal for us but I think it might be the most realistic
