We saw our first stretch of the Celts looking like the Celts that we've seen in a long time tonight.  Some excellent ball movement at times, and of course Rondo was at the forefront of the passing attack. Still, the looked ugly at times too, and were it not for some poor turnovers at key times by the Clippers this one would have caused a lot more anxiety for the green faithful. 

All in all, a good get even win against a decent Clippers team.

Hopefully we can build off the good stuff.

Rondo - 3 He really did a great job on Baron Davis the whole game

Perkins - 2 15 boards and overall solid play

KG - 1 He ran the break hard and made a ton of great defensive plays. His modest 2 rebounds don't tell how hard he fought on the glass. He tipped the ball to other Celtics players at least 4 times tonight.

I feel I need to clarify this.

1) KG

In my humble opinion, KG really "made" this game. You can tell how different we are when he's around, on both D and O. Since it's his comeback game, I wanted to give him 3 points for this, but alas, 2 for each will have to do.


2) Rondo

Can't give him more love than just saying it's been a regular appearance; a double double, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. "Normal".


3) Pierce

Pierce was amazing. 11-11 from the FT line, while the rest barely nicked 50%, and good FG% in 50%. He was solid.

I give 2 for Rondo - Played well defensively against B Davis and a great overall game with assists, points, steals and boards.

2 for P2 - Needed scoring punch from him tonight and he didn't disappoint, especially at free throw line.

2 for Perk - Great boardwork and defense - nice to see that Kaman did not have same level of play against him last night as he did in LA.

Ray Allen may not have shot well, but had four assists and 6 boards.

KG's effect felt once again - efficient scoring from him. His importance to us does not always show up in box score. Great to see him back.

Two in a row for Celtics...nice to see us building momentum for this upcoming week of challenges. This may be our toughest stretch IMO.
