So does any body else see the pats moving one of their 2nd rounders for a Vet?

I think it is a distinct possibility.  There were rumors that the Giants might move Osi (since they drafted that DE -- JPP), or that the Redskins might move Haynesworth.  Both teams deny they're looking to trade, but you never know.  I'd be happy with either for a 2nd rounder.

The issue of course is the money.  Not sure what Osi makes, but I am pretty sure Haynesworth just got one of the richest contracts in all of football last year.  Not sure how it would affect the Pats if they traded for him (was a bunch of it paid up front?), but I really cannot see them taking on a contract like that.

My guess is if the Pats trade for a veteran, it is going to be someone much more reasonable.

BTW, listening to the radio today makes me HATE this new draft format.  The armchair quarterbacks are coming out in force after one pick.  It's ridiculous.

I am rooting for the pats to take Art Jones out of Cuse with one of their second rounders. Kid is a Ty Warren Clone, who Mcshay says deserved first round consideration just based on his run stopping alone.

If we got haynesworth and then went to a 4-3 I would be thrilled.  Wilfork and Big Al on the same line would be legendary.
Skin's fan here.  you can have him.  we'll cut a massive salary for someone that didn't produce enough and we'll get some better, younger, cheaper assets.

However, if the Skins cough up Haynesworth, we'd better be getting more than a 2nd rounder, particularly those low ones the Pats have.  I'd consider all 3 but nothing less than a prime starter and 2 of those picks.

Word is that a 2nd and 4th would get it done
I don't think it happens. We've been running the 3-4 since Belichick got here. I have heard this rumor before but I don't think the Pats change to the 4-3. His contract doesn't bother me because it is front loaded. A lot of his guraunteed money was paid last year and this year doesn't have a cap.

If he was willing to play the 3-4 (which is reportedly the reason he wants out of Washington) I would give the 2nd and the 4th without question.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I don't know anything about him, but I think that would be a great target.  Everyone talks about passrushers, but I think their bigger need is another DE who can 2-gap and stuff the run now that Seymore and Green are gone.

He is a 3 time all big east DT who set the Cuse record for tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

Couple of teams coming up that have some QB question marks; CLE, OAK, & BUF but who knows?  :P

Rob Gronkowski.  Seems like a solid pick.  A bit of a risk.  We'll see...

Jermaine Cunningham for the Pats.
Good pick.  He's a Florida guy, and BB has connections there, so probably knows the guy well.  He's versatile, and a hard worker, and so a BB/Pats guy.

Fewer trades in the 3rd round.
I've been happy with the Pats picks in the 2nd.  Looking forward to seeing what they do in the 3rd.  I think O-line might be the next position addressed....

The Pats trade a late 3rd for a 2nd next year.  It always amazes me that they're one of the few teams that pull off these types of trades.

In related news, what is Carolina doing trading up to pick another QB?  Their team was so good that they can pick two QBs among their first three picks?
