While I'm thinking of it and before I posted the last month of regular season, I had a request put in for me to send player stats for the whole season at then end of the regular season, While I have no problem do that I would like to know who else would like to see that! I ask that you send me a pm and give me your email address if you dont mind so i can put everything in excell and then just email it you.

Thanks,
-riah32
Now that is worth way more than the one TP I can give you. That's huge.

I guess I should be more specific...I'm not going to do all 30 teams unless every team wants to see there stats, so I'm asking anyone who wants to see there team stats and at the end of regular season pm with your email address...if i get request i will let you know what other teams I got an case you to see theres compared to yous..

-riah32

I'd love to see my team's stats, riah, if it's not too much trouble.  roy@celticsblog.com

47-35, after a 5-12 start.  That means the Thunder finished on a 42-23 (.692) tear.  Let's hope they carry that momentum into the playoffs.

Thunder vs. Nuggets has the look of an instant classic.

Crazy.  Can't help but shake my head at what happened with my Blazers team.  I think I made the mistake of trying to make a too defensively oriented team.

Two drafts in a row I finish tied for 8th in the East and lose the tiebreaker. Nice finish for the Knicks though going from last in the conference to tied for 8th in just a couple months. We finished on the low end of where I thought we would but still like the team and under different circumstances, I think they would have done better.

One things for sure though, we will definitely be better than the real Knicks, which is what I was trying to accomplish.

Lots of fun. TP to Roy for a great idea and running things. TP to Lucky and Bahku for their work in the rosters threads. TP to Who for all his great takes. TP to riah for great work on the sims.

Hmmmmm ... a Melo/Durant shootout ... don't think there will be a lot of defense in this game. I'd love to watch all of these playoff games, though ... I personally think we improved the NBA by a hundred-fold.

I agree, I'd much rather see this version of the NBA.  Unfortunately I'd have to split my loyalties from the C's to C's and Salties.

Would love to see the Suns/Salties matchup in round 1.

I'm happy the role and minutes distribution changes worked!

PG - Dereck Fisher 33 minutes
SG - Joe Johnson 38 minutes
SF - Tay Prince 35 minutes
SG - Josh Smith 38 minutes
C  - Chris Anderson 34 minutes

6th - Ryan Anderson 30 minutes

Role Player - Maurice Evans 14 minutes
Role Player - Jordan Farmar 14 minutes

Prospect - Terrance Willaims 3 minutes
Prospect - Wright 3 minutes
Prospect - Jordan Hill 3 minutes

Washington is going down. 7th seed in the East is on a role!

I must say I'm disappointed in how the Cavs played, Lebron wins player of the month for every month but team ends up 11th in the East, yeesh.

Someone needs to explain to me how LeBron wins player of the month every month yet doesn't win MVP. As a matter of fact, I don't remember Dirk winning even one Player of the Week Award, never mind Player of the Month Award. How can you not win a Player of the Week or Month Award but win MVP?

Is that even possible in today's game in real life?

Yeah ... the LeBron thing seems a bit odd to me, too, though I'm not much of an expert when it comes to video game applications such as these.

I must say, though, while I was doing the Team Roster Write-Ups, that almost every team to a man, was an improvement over what the real team had before.

It's amazing to me that a bunch of blog schmucks like us can have this simple game of player re-distribution, and come up with a vastly improved NBA.

That in itself poses an endless series of questions and "what-ifs" ... mostly about who's minding the store, and how they re-stock the shelves. ;)

Yeah, but you know what Bahku, we don't have to cater and manage these guys. That has to be tough. Imagine if Donnie Walsh just absolutely despised LeBron James, he couldn't be able to stand him. But he knows without a doubt that the best thing for the Knicks is to sign him at all costs.

That could be tough.

I also think if this was a keeper league and we suddenly had to play by the rules of the CBA regarding trades and signing free agents, our world would get a lot more difficult.

Come to think of it, that might be a nice way to continue this endeavor. Make it a keeper league where we do have to work by the rules of the CBA. All free agents will be assigned to the teams they sign with at the money they signed but can then be traded or kept if the team wishes. This would be the one exception to the CBA rules. We can do our own draft lottery using the ESPN draft lottery game by assigning teams to the teams that already exist in the slots that exist

For instance our Warriors would equal the Nets. Our T-Wolves would equal, well, the real life T-Wolves. Our Celtics would equal the real life Warriors and so on. The draft lottery is held and then we could have a draft of incoming players. They are assigned their contracts and we could do another sim next year around the same time.

Or next year just do another whole pick two draft.
