I had to go adjust me squads minutes after seeing what he was playing the first 2 months

Riah had KMart playing only 20 minutes but was giving like 17 minutes to Quentin Richardson who was my 11th player on the depth chart and 8 minutes to Dante Cunningham who was my 13th player on the depth chart

TP to riah for the work but maybe the rotations were based on his ideas of each team and not on the owners and so maybe some of the teams rotation wouldn't be what the owner would expect

In riah's defense he did ask for input from the owners and if we didn't get back to him that's our fault

Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

I like that my squad has no one any of the lists, and yet we're currently the 4th seed.  GO PISTONS!

Word is Rodney Stuckey was so surprised by the sim results that he passed out.

Tasteless, I know...

Don't get too comfortable in that 4th seed, I'm 0.5 games behind you for the central division.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I will just never get the correlation between record and efficiency

Maybe a better idea would be to run 10 simulations and see what the cumulative results would be though that would be a huge undertaking

I don't understand how some teams with low efficiencies have such high win totals or how teams with relatively even efficiencies can be soooo different in record

I'm not sure how the rankings work.  It could be that a deep but mediocre team rates highly, because it's players are all pretty good, even though it lacks a star.  Another team, on the other hand, that has a great rotation but a lesser deep bench may have a lower ranking, even though the players actually getting minutes are better.

I've got no idea if that's how it works, but it's an explanation.
Okay, I can understand that, I guess

So now explain to me where the Detroit club fits in

They have the second worst efficiency rating in the game yet are almost a .500 team and have a better record than 4-5 other EC teams with efficiencies 8-10 points higher, teams that have clearly better rotations and players

I mean it's all good and fun

It just doesn't make any sense

Then again, neither does the real life play of the Celtics so I guess anything is possible

Roy's explanation is kind of off about mediocre teams getting higher rankings in my experience.

I think it more boils down to rotation of per minute how good a position is, and then that's put through a defensive, offensive and overall rating.

For instance, a team that plays Rajon Rondo (87 overall) then Devin Harris (84 overall) each 24 mins a game would grade out lower than a team who played Chris Paul (94) for 37 mins  and Darren Collison (65) for 11.

(keep in mind these are the sept ratings. Since then they've evolved)

I would love to see the breakdown is Laker minutes.  How many player awards can Kobe win and still be a 500 team?

You can't spell Kobe without 'ME'

Well actually you can't spell Kobe with an M at all, but he don't care yo.

That's why he added that nickname.  He needed the M to get to "ME"

Riah told me.

To be fair, he also asked for owners input on what minutes they wanted thier roster playing before this thing started.

Also, ugh. The bobcats come plummiting down to where i thought the would be based on our roster.

Not that I'd be unhappy with a 5th/6th seed for what i put together, but i can't say im surprised the stats are equaling out given our lack of scoring.

If any of you asked for your rotation breakdowns check your pm's. Please get back to me ASAP so I can continue on with the simularion. AS far as how the rotations are set up I pretty much went with what the game set-up after the draft except for some very minor changes. So no I was trying to screw anyone over or anything like that, its hard trying to break peoples rotations times down when you only got 240 mintues to play with.

Plam Q richardsons a starter on the heat score 8.8ppg in reality so was it really that bad that he was playing 17 minutes. K-mart being hurt at the moment was another reason y I moved him that low I belive.

I don't think anyone thinks you were trying to screw anyone riah

I think you've done a tremendous job

But you had injuries off so what does it matter if KMart was currently injured

Also, QRich may be a starter in real life but to take away minutes from a PF to give them to a SG who already had four other wings ahead of him on the depth chart just is not something I think many people would have done

No big deal, different people think differently and it's my fault for not specifying my rotation more accurately

Giving you one for the work

No hard feelings it's just I drafted my team to run differently than you originally set it up to run
