Tyson Chandler

[dang it]. And [dang it]. Too guys who are too talented to still be on the board this late.

Carter ($16.3m), Chandler ($11.8m), Nash ($13.1m), Ginobli ($10.7m), and Kirilenko ($16.5m): Hoooooo boy that's a pricy, injury prone, and old starting five.

So yeah, I'm conflicted with how I feel about it. Sheer talent is nice, though.
Did you see the contract they gave Arenas and the trade the Wizards made in the draft. Their owner wants to win now and is willing to pay for it.
Also the increased television, and endorsement money from Russia and Argentina will help fit that bill.
How much do you think the owner would be willing to pay in order to make people immediately forget the gun incident? I'd say it's at least that much.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

:::The PHX Suns are to Announce::::

With the 18th pick of the 2nd round they select....

Mo' Williams

Good pick, although there is no love for Mo on this board, I think he's a solid PG, especially at this point in the draft.

I thought about him. I preferred Hinrich's toughness and defense over Mo's offense.

I honestly think there are better PG's on the board. His play this year is a return to form, and his defense is awful.

That said, i don't think the guys i have rated better are significantly better.

PG and PF/C are the two hardest spots to grab, people (and rightfully so) protected the heck out of thier true PG's and bigs.

Oof. Combined, they may play 82 games this season.

If Chandler gets his head and his feet straight, he'll be a nice player for you.
As Celtics fans I thought we made a deal to ignore the injury problems of players.

also, i don't feel like dragging the thread up but we pretty convincingly proved vince carter's injury proneness is vastly overblown.

since 2001 he's played 70+ games each and every season.

Color me surprised.

Still, they've combined to miss 28 games so far this season.

Oh i still think it's a big risk, one of the reasons i didn't pick chandler in particular is his inability to stay healthy.

I honestly wrote him out long before i settled on haywood as my center.

Well with the concession that I haven't seen the Cavs except in one match up with the Celtics, I'd have to disagree. Ok, Mo is averaging a point less a game (on nearly identical %s) but then's he's dishing out one more assist a game, up to 5.1. The rest of his numbers are almost identical.

But maybe he looks a lot worse closing out on shooters or funneling his man into O'Neal and Varejao?

Pre injury (he'll be out another month) he was starting to find his shot again, but it's been pretty brutal all year.

I'm just not that much of a fan of him, but as i said, i don't think the other PG's on the board are anything like a gameshaker either.

PG + PF/C are the positions that got protected to heck and back.

I've got 6:22 as the time and don't see a pick from Atlanta.

The Utah Salties select Shane Battier with the 20th pick of the 2nd Round

He's not 100% for a large percentage though.

Still you're right he's not anymore injury prone than most players his age.

We're going to run, block shots, dunk the ball, stroke the 3 and hopefully stay healthy. The Washington motto.

Even if you question some of my moves you have to admit that this team is 10 times more fun than the old Wizards.

That had a shootout in their lockerroom. Javaris Crittenden said he wanted to play for blood and Gilbert Arenas said "I'm your huckleberry" and they had a gunfight. How could you top that?
