Well, might as well get the ball rolling for today.

New Orleans selects Yao Ming.  High risk/reward, of course, but the best oop thrower in the league tossing them to Yao is too tempting to resist.  And if he doesn't get healthy or mesh with the team, he's a big expiring next year for whoever regrets their offseason moves.  Plus his built-in fanbase will give the Hornets new, desperately needed revenue streams.
I think Yao after all his feet trouble won't be catching many alleys. But him and CP3 will run the best pick and roll in the league. Yao will also clear the glass and allow CP3 to run like he would like. Next year your team would be very good.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yeah all indications are Yao is progressing well in his rehab --- glad I took a 12th round flyer on him in my keeper league!

Yao could probably dunk without any feet at all, but yeah, I see him as a very good fit in many ways for the team I'm trying to put together.  Basically I traded West for Yao and moved up 20 spots at a point where a lot of quality players will still be available.

Or to put it another way, given that nothing tangible is at stake and I'll have zero long-term accountability for my decisions, I'm comfortable with the risk  ;)

I understand why you did it, but you probably could have just waited and picked him up with your next pick.

Putting it that way I bet the real Hornets would absolutely trade Yao for West. In this context it also makes sense.

New Orleans is interested in moving down in the 2nd, potentially into the early 3rd.  You'd have to help me in other rounds of course.  PM any offers.

I understand why you did it, but you probably could have just waited and picked him up with your next pick.

I suspect that's true.

Really think he'd've dropped to 21?  There aren't many quality centers left out there, I figured someone would take a flier.
