This team is getting very frustrating to watch now. I now post this because i just was looking at rumors at ESPN and it said Ainge concentrating on the Celtics current roster. GREAT! Like that has been enough so far. This team is going to keep dropping wins if we dont make a move quick. Eddie has worn out his welcome with me. I really loved him his whole career but it seems like he cant do anything anymore. I mean if Danny doesn't see we need an upgrade what are we going to do? Something needs to get through to Danny, cause i guess losing to mediocre basketball teams isn't.  Also if anyone has an insider account i would love to know what it is saying about The Celtics. If you could thank you. But just looking for opinions right now on this subject.

So, we want him to make panic moves?

Not panic moves but make one before everyone notices our bench players suck. We need to trade these sorry players with expiring contracts with something that can help. I really don't think we can go into the post season and win with this team is to inconstant and injury prone.

Yeah!  Danny needs to go and find a long, athletic power forward, who can defend the post and the perimeter, hit the 20 foot jumpshot, and a turn-around jumper in the post, and finish alley-oops from Rondo.  But where could we find a guy like that?

Seriously though, I am not saying KG will heal everything, but when (if) he returns, his presence completely transforms this roster by pushing guys back into their proper roles, and will eventually right the ship.

What should be the real focus is trying to get everyone's heads back into the game, because the players on the floor are much better than they have been playing the last month.

They are not a bunch of rookies.  Teams have scouting reports on these players.

So, there is a chance that nobody wants what the Celtics have to offer unless the Celtics really overpay.

I understand getting Kevin will be great but we need a backup PG. Rondo needs somebody behind him and Eddie is not that guy.

Overpay or take back a big contract for a meh player.

I'm pretty sure at the deadline we'd be able to get a guy like Kirk Hinrich if we really wanted him.

What PG is available at a price the Celtics can both meet and makes sense?

Definite possibility, but not now.

The problem is, they need the guy they get to be significantly better than Eddie, available for what the C's have to trade, and cost effective.  Those guys are not that easy to find.

I agree that this team needs another option at PG (although I think Daniels is fine when he is healthy), but I don't see a trade for one that makes sense for both teams.

What is much more likely is that Danny waits it out, holds on to his assets to see if there is a deal too good to pass up, or significant injuries (as in something that could keep them out of the playoffs) force his hand, and then go hard after the guys who will be bought out after the trade deadline.

There is absolutely no motivation for Danny to make a panic mood right now, where they have no leverage in a trade, and teams really are not ready to pull the trigger.  This team is in a slump.  They will pull out of it.  Danny will keep his eyes open, but a move right now would be a panic move, and that is not what this team needs.

I sincerely think this team will be fine if it gets healthy.  But seriously, what incentive do the players have to win these games by busting their butts and being ultra focused?  What is there to focus on?  KG coming back will help a ton.

However, if come playoff time we have to watch a 5-man unit of Scalabrine, Ray Allen, Eddie House, Glen Davis, and Tony Allen, then we truely are doomed! lol.

Yeah the Bulls are trying to get talent back at the moment. I think they'll have to settle just to dumping him.

Yeah, but I don't think the C's will have any interest on taking that contract, much like most other teams.

Oh I agree, but a deal like that or overpay for a crappy player with a pick are Danny's only options at this point.

Unless one of the trade Ray scenarios actually comes together....

And I think that is what Ainge is waiting for.  Closer to the deadlines, better talent will be more likely available for just future cap space.
