OMG. So I turn off the TV because it was a foulfest for the first time of the season and I miss a dunk by Billy, a dunk by JR, AND SCAL dancing? NOOOOO.

Lesson learned I presume :P

Good comeback game. Too bad it was only against the Nets.
You play who you are scheduled. I'll take beating one of the worst NBA teams in the league's history by 24.

I think everyone knows the real test is tomorrow night.  C's should be fairly well rested and ready for a young but struggling Bulls team.

C's have lost their last 2 games when playing back to back (lost both games to Clippers/GS) so this will be a big test.  They have 3 days off after this Bulls game so hopefully they will have enough left in the tank to pull out a much needed home win.

Garnett has only missed one of our back to back games, the Atlanta game we just played.

I don't think what your saying makes much sense given the small sample size and overall similar nature of the two team's records in back to backs. Not to mention how similar the winning percentages are to their overall records.

Paul missed both games against the CLippers and GS if I am not mistaken.  Was just trying to illustrate their need to overcome injuries and fatigue even when playing on back to back nights.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a good win despite the quick turnaround.

I agree that you need to play hard and win games even if they're the second half of back to backs. But I don't think the Lakers make any sort of statement if they pull out tonight's game, its just another game.

Fair enough --- the real back to back games will be when the C's play the Hawks and Magic in a couple weeks.  Followed by the Lakers after one day off.  That stretch will really tell where this team is at (hopefully with KG back and playing well)

Fourth quarter, 5:48 Celtics 97-77

A really bad second half for the Celtics, who have scored 26 points after piling up 71 in the first half. The bench looks confused. The starters played too many minutes and all the momentum generated by a dominating first half is nearly gone.

End of third quarter, Celtics 90-64

A really bad quarter for the Celtics, 7-for-18 from the field, nine turnovers and just 19 points after scoring 71 in the first half. Still, it's going to be a win at Izod Center and Doc Rivers should give the starters some rest. Paul Pierce has 24 points in 28 minutes.

Third quarter, 2:15, Celtics 86-60

The lead is 26 but the Celtics are playing a terrible quarter with seven turnovers in nine minutes, and the Nets nearly got within 20 but order is being restored. Paul Pierce has 22

Just wanted to show everyone posts from the Celtics blog at boston.com    Even in a blowout win the reporter paid to watch Celtics games had these things to say about the second half tonight.  Hopefully gives a little pespective to those who keep confusing criticism with negativity.
