Wow, that's great Roy.  Congrats!  I'm trying to come up with a good way to pop the question myself.  Good news is she is a Boston Sports fan so maybe I will do a jumbotron proposal  ;D

Eh, maybe that wouldn't go over that well.  Hmmmm...now you got me thinking.

As some of you guys may know, I've been planning on proposing to my girlfriend for awhile.  Well, Monday night, I popped the question (and she said yes.)

There's a Celtics-related twist here, so bear with me.  The original plan was to have a nice dinner (Top of the Hub), followed by us going over to Faneuil Hall and getting a horse-drawn carriage.  Small problem:  apparently, on week nights during the winter (or at least this week), the horses / buggies aren't running.  Oops.  (I thought I'd verified that, but oh well.)

So, I was stuck, since I really hadn't thought of a fallback plan.  So, I went and sat next to Red (the statute), and thought about how to go about it.  There were all kinds of trees lined with white Christmas lights, with a huge Christmas tree in the middle.  I decided to ask her there.  That's right:  I proposed maybe 10 feet from the Red statute.

(For those who don't know what the statute looks like, here's a generic picture):

Hopefully, Red blesses this marriage.  I can't go wrong, right?

now thats a tp!  popping the question with style....red would be proud.  congrats!  :)
