And this team doesn't need a backup point guard, right?

Yea, our backup pg was so essential in the year we won the championship huh...

Another bad loss to another bad team, but no negativity. Great effort by the Celtics. They are going to score 99 points against the worst defensive team in the NBA.

I have NBA League Pass out West here and have watched at least 20 Warrior games but thanks for asking.  The Warriors are a below average team and have been since their run with Ellis/Jackson/Davis.  They are horrid on defense and coached by Don Nelson who most of the players HATE playing for.  30 games into the season is a pretty good barometer to judge a team.  The Warriors are 9-21 so it's obvious they are a below average team at best.  Not sure what the stats from losses have to do with this team.  None of the losses were on back to back nights so there is no correlation.  So at least have facts that actually mean something next time.

But I will post a similar stat --- C's lost to the Clippers and Warriors on the road last year and didn't make the NBA finals.  Since they did the same this year I guess that spells doom!

Hard to tell exactly what you're saying here as it is all in one quote block, but, sorry for assuming your lack of Warriors knowledge. I would still say that despite their record, having watched them a fair bit this year, they are a team that is capable of pulling out a win on most nights. Tonight it took a lights out game from Ellis but they are a team that due to their pace and style can disrupt opponents to the point of hanging around and getting a W. Look at the recent Phoenix game for example.

Those stats, btw, I don't know what you mean. The point was those were a selection of lossed from the 83-84 C's. A team that many would acknowledge as one of the greatest teams ever. Those are all losses to teams with bad records. Pointing to the need for a little perspective.

EDIT: Sorry, those quote tags got messed up somehow. fixed now.

Yikes,  Doc says Rondo is hurt with a hamstring injury?

Can't imagine playing the Suns without Pierce and Rondo.  :o

So I think it is safe to say the Pierce is definitely the best and most important player on this team. I remember having a little debate about it earlier in the season and it was mixed with Pierce, KG, and Rondo. There is absolutely no way we lose these games if Pierce were playing. Even if KG and Rondo were both out, he would have willed the team to victories.

On a side note don't  understand why some people get so stat happy about Rondo too. Without looking it up it seems to me that the more Rondo scores the worse we do.

I'd think we'd lose with Pierce healthy and no Rondo.

Yeh, me too. Rondo does a lot, even with everyone healthy. It's just that normally it doesn't all show up on the stat sheet. He might draw defenders and 2 passes later it reaches the person that got free by his movement. No stats for that.

Anyway, right now his stats are showing because he's taking Pierce's job. He's not as good at it as Pierce is, but he [dang] well shows he can be our CP3 if he wants to.

the brass continue to say they dont need to make a move but they nned to move scal and get help off the bench..esp with Q  hurt for some time

NO, you're just doing what's calling panicking. We had 10+ leads on the Sixers (WITH Pierce), the Clippers and we were up by 18 against the Warriors. If we can't pull wins out of these scenarios, then how is a bench player gonna help us? Seriously, at that point, we need to just play defense. Gimme a break. A trade will probably happen regardless, but it won't help us win games which we as a team are CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED IN WINNING. PERIOD.

Different teams facing different competition. Your argument is flawed. Rondo is banged up badly and House sucks too much at PG for us to do anything to remedy the situation. Ellis only scored as much as he did because Rondo can't bend his knees or move his feet with his hamstring and numerous other injuries he's acquired in the last 2-3 games. What we need is Marquis Daniels to come back, not some new backup PG. In a way, you're both wrong.  ;D
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I don't understand why Doc continues to play Scal, he's useless, can someone explain that to me? He's taking 6 minutes every game with these injuries, I'd rather see Walker in there to see what he could do, Doc's gotta give him a chance especially with the injuries we have now.

You could mention Baby as well. Didn't look too good. Or have we had updates?

Geesh, some of you guys, I won't name names, are just a bundle of fun to watch games with. ::) ::)

You know what? I hate unwarranted positivity.

All the negativity wouldn´t be so excessive if some people could simply acknowledge when the team stinks.

I mean, if the C´s would lead by 15, you wouldn´t have to read so much negativity.

Some of these comments would have you think this is a 6-23 teams. I mean, come on.

You guys are all right. We should all be happy about back-to-back losses to bad teams. What am I thinking?

Nah, vinnie, I know what you mean, but I can also understand where they´re coming from. Not to single you out, but maybe it´s really smarter to wait until after the game with the criticism. I mean, the game thread is one of the worst places if you expect a fair debate (as it should be). In the game threads, most people come together to cheer, not to vent.

I feel there is no better place to vent about Scals than in here. ;D

KAZING!  ;D
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I guess it's because Scal:
- knows his task
- knows the rotations
- does play solid D

Look, I'm as frustrated about losing two in a row as the next man, but we'll get through this. I could type away all night and ping on the mistakes that happened, but it won't get us the last two games back.

I'll take 23-7. Still a better record than CLE or ORL.

The folks here that want to point out what went wrong - let em', that's what the blog is for.

But as for me, I really believe we'll be hoisting Banner 18 in June at the expense of the Lakers.
