Hey the Warriors deserved to win tonight they should get lots of credit.  They played simple fundemental basketball to keep their 3 point lead.  Fouling twice to avert a potential game tying basket.  Simple basketball but effective.  Hopefully DOC took notes tonight.

Without being negative just factual --- the Celtics are built to close out games.  Their veteran leaders have been through the battles and know how to execute down the stretch.  Their NBA Champion pedigree proves that as does the NBA CHampion head coach.  However they were simply out executed by the god awful Clippers and Warriors down the stretch.  There is no excuse for that and it definitely shows more than just a small chink in the armor of this Celtic team.

As I said, Max and Grande are ripping the crap out of the Celtics right now. Should they both be fired from their jobs?

Another tough one, but Championships aren't won in December. Lakers lost too ;D.

At least Rondo shot better from the line.

The Celts were beyond gassed, especially TA and KG. Ray also had nothing in the 2nd half, BBD was bad, House was awful, Sheed was awful, Perk did some good things but let his emotions get the best of him. Ray playing the whole 2nd half kinda annoyed me, this game wasnt THAT important.

Oh well, just come out fresh Wed. against a tough team. The loss sucks, but its nothing to panic about.

There's a difference, imo, between saying "I've lost faith in this team", "we're not a playoff team" and "we're not a contender", or saying "we need to improve our D on picks on Rondo", "Rondo needs to shoot better FT's" and "We need to limit turnovers".

I think some people over here lose faith a little easily, and that's a darn shame for such a great ballclub.

- nobody gave a [dang] until the last minute of the game, they were Sleepwalking

- Doc did some REALLY stupid crap -- calling that play for Ray to shoot a 3 on a night when we were SO LACKADAISICAL AND TERRIBLE AT EVERYTHING. And I never blame the coach.

- Refs had no understanding of what the "clearing out" rule was. You're allowed to shield yourself and the ball with your off arm, you just can't push off or extend the off arm into the defender. The refs called that wrong all night - you'd think they'd know the rulebook.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I really didn't like the idea of missing that 2nd free throw with Ray on the line at least we go and foul then get a desperation shot off rather then them going up four.. Really didn't like that call

We didn't have more time-outs. We'd need to rebound the free-throw or inbound the ball and then make a shot in 2 seconds or so - well, pretty much what ended up happening...

But how can you love Max? He even ripped Rondo noting that while Rajon scored 30, his man scored 35.

I wish he had Donny's job.

The idea that quality or more experienced teams are much better than bad teams in close games is just a myth. Winning close games is a lot about luck.

Am I disappointed that the Celtics lost to the Warriors?  Yes.  Was I expecting this outcome, especially after being up 18?  No I was not.  Do I think this shows bigger problems with the team?  No, I don't think it's a big deal.  Is there anything positive to take away from the game?  Yes there is.

I saw several things I liked when there was 4.4 seconds on the clock and GS inbounding in the 4th quarter.  KG and Perk were both jumping up and down and harrassing the inbouncer, and the camera showed 2 Asian girls right behind the scorers table, and they were just cracking up because it looked funny.  It looked funny because it was funny.  Imagine that you're trying to do whatever it is you do for a living, and KG and Perkins, these two huge sweaty 7-footers, get in your face and wave their arms around to distract you.  Then, another thing I saw that I liked, they started to inbound from the opposite side, and you could see KG talking to the inbounder.  Finally, another thing I liked at that moment was, the camera showed a guy and his girlfriend, and the girlfriend was asleep on the guy's shoulder at the most tense moment of the game.

Yes the Cs lost, but I am not too disappointed, because of some of the good things in the game, especially the things I mentioned towards the end of the 4th.
Double rainbow all the way

Geesh, some of you guys, I won't name names, are just a bundle of fun to watch games with. ::) ::)

You know what? I hate unwarranted positivity.

All the negativity wouldn´t be so excessive if some people could simply acknowledge when the team stinks.

I mean, if the C´s would lead by 15, you wouldn´t have to read so much negativity.

Some of these comments would have you think this is a 6-23 teams. I mean, come on.

You guys are all right. We should all be happy about back-to-back losses to bad teams. What am I thinking?

Nah, vinnie, I know what you mean, but I can also understand where they´re coming from. Not to single you out, but maybe it´s really smarter to wait until after the game with the criticism. I mean, the game thread is one of the worst places if you expect a fair debate (as it should be). In the game threads, most people come together to cheer, not to vent.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.
