Can't understand why Shelden didn't play a SINGLE minute in this game when Scal was refusing to shoot the ball, burned on D (he hustled, sure, but he got burned), and didn't take a rebound. His only positive play was his offensive rebound at the end... fortunately the refs called a foul and he got out of the game. Right after his departure we started taking the lead and keeping it, what a surprise!

Seriously, why Doc didn't play Shelden? You can argue he sucks on offense but Scal does too when he refuses shots, and Shelden would have takend a lot of rebounds, both defensive but first and foremost offensive for us. His hustle would have been a boost too.

Doc's preference of Scal over Shelden is a mystery to me, and he can not use his "matchup" argument on this one.

Scal also was guarding Murphy for much of the time he was out there and Muprhy had a huge night. I will never understand the infatuation with playing Brian Scalabrine. He is a 12th player -- no better.

I hope Danny will trade him the first chance he gets. How he's making 3.4m is beyond understandable. Kudos to his agent.

I guarantee Scals plays big minutes vs Orlando. Doc thinks Scals is a R. Lewis stopper.

Hopefully when Big Baby gets back we will see a lot less of Scal.

Scal has been with Doc since year 1. Doc is comfortable with Scal. And its not like Sheldon is any better. Big Baby to the rescue.

Scal was a better matchup for the bigs that can shoot than Shelden would have been

they made their shots anyway, but it wasn't all because of Scal

Winning w/o KG AND Glen Davis might be harder than it looks, though Scal definitely didn't do much to help things out with his shooting tonight...

he usually shows effort and energy on the defensive end of the court -- regardless of whether that translates into results you can't knock him for at least trying.

Shelden would've been a much better option. I think Doc sometimes forgets players he has on his roster....in all seriousness.

It is like that.

Scals best nights aren't any better than Sheldon on an average night.

Scal tries, Sheldon produces.

Oh...oh no...no no no no no
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I very rarely post these days but the minutes Scalabrine is getting is [dang] near p---ing me off. These are at the expense of guys who have upside like Walker or trade potential like Tony or value under the boards like Shelden. Scal has no upside, no trade potential and no value on the floor.
