Scal is supposed to be a good vet role player that knows his role.  Well he often passes up open shots and when he should just shoot or pass, he sometimes tries to drive, mostly coming up empty or turns it over.  That doesn't sound like a "vet role player that knows his role."

When he tries to drive I'm always yelling at the tv "what the heck are you doing! just shoot or pass it!" lol

Scal was a much better matchup against Murphy than Shelden.  But ever since Scal has been here there have always been guys I wanted to play instead of Scal- from Gomes to Powe to Baby to Justin Reed.  It actually boggles my mind that Scal is in the NBA at all.

agreed, as i watched the game last night that exact thought kept crossing my mind. he's not athletic enough to do much other than spot up and shoot which he doesn't do. he was getting out jumped on rebounds and out run on defense.

he's a big body that can soak up a few fouls and maybe irritate the hell out of an opponent, but that's about it.

Was at the Minnesota game and the cheers/jeers have gotten worse and worse. Is really horrible to treat a professional athlete like that. He earned the right to be on a Championship team, he does not deserve to be ridiculed with humiliating chants every time he touches the ball. No wonder his home shooting percentage sucks.

I wouldn't say doomed, but I would prefer to have KG, Wallace, or Pierce on him.

If Scal guards Lewis... don't be surprised if something like this happens

Props to Scal for being a good contributor lately despite last night's horrible shooting display.

Where is that woman that used to love all over Scal here?  :-X

Scals tried that same defensive flop last night which lead to an easy 3 point shot for Indiana.

If you're out of shape, can't play defense, and have bizarre pictures of your coach and farm animals, then yes. You can be the new Scal. ;)

... erm... with me being Dutch and all that, I'd expect you to think weird things of me... but this is a bit out of my league ;)

I'm not in too shabby a shape but I do have asthma. Also, I play D like noone else does in our team. That's what I live for; DEFENSE!

Scalabrine is like a beer commercial -- he's Irish, plays basketball, kinda goofy, looks kinda like Will Ferrell.

Shame the Celtics lost to the Bulls on St. Patty's day last season otherwise he might have had something going there...
