Great play by Sheed too bad no one covered for him on the defensive end.  Pacers aren't going away quietly here and it's about time for the starters to get some rest.

Hope Doc tries Shelden and sits Scal.  The C's need rebounding now and defense which Scal simply cannot provide...

please fill me in (down here in Vol land) about kevin garnett's condition ............ i understood ainge to say "some soreness around the knee."

so which is it - a thigh bruise or more problems with garnett's knee ?

(not that garnett's absence is any justification for this team's bipolar personality)

From what I understand, tenn_smoothie, it's just a thigh bruise for KG. Doc wanted to keep him out as a precaution from what I understand.

thank you.

now, about that Garden bipolar syndrome ..........  has there been any explanation for this team's lack of effort at home ? if they were also up & down on the road, it would make more sense, but these home performances border on the bizarre.

i have two thoughts ...........

rondo, with the title and some recognition, has lost just a little hunger and gained a little of the wrong type of arrogance.

rasheed wallace is not good for this team's chemistry. not meaning he's a bad guy in the locker room - but he has some negativity to him and a certain type of selfishness - not on the court with the ball, but just sorta, if it comes down to it, he's not a "if you go, we all go" type of player. remember his quote, "the only people who i care what they think about me is my wife and kids." in the end, sheed ain't an ubuntu guy.

The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Big play there Rondo misses after his circus move (he ALWAYS misses after that move) then giving up another wide open 3 pointer.

C's have made a nice run but it's like starting over they have to keep the gas pedal on or the Pacers will build the lead again.

THe move is awesome but I would be willing to bet his conversion rate on it is less than 20%
Still want him to use that move a lot because:
a) open look
b) it looks awesome :')

Just keep it up, C's. Now we need Captain to take over.

When does Doc give the starters some rest? I say now.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Hence why he needs to practice it.

Nice to see that Ray can still be a scoring machine when needed

Another missed conversion with a chance to go up 5.  Then Pierce leaves Rush wide open for a jumper.  Wow then Pierce gets stuffed inside and Rush hits another 3 pointer.

Anytime Paul Pierce wants to show up and help the C's tonight would be greatly appreciated.  I am still predicting he will eventually make at least ONE basket.
