Wow... Pierce is absolute crap tonight and I'm not even talking about our defense.

We can't hit a bucket.

I do hope that we will shoot better in the second half but I don't expect our defense to improve so we will likely lose. The Pacers have all the hustle and desire and we're watching them do whatever they want.

Also, why doesn't Doc put Shelden in the game? Scal is doing his best on D but is totally useless on offense... at least Shelden will give us offensive rebounds and with the way we're bricking tonight, he will be useful.

I'm glad the Christmas day game is being played on the road. We stand a greater chance of winning in someone else's building than at home.

WHY is Scal in the game???  He tries hard but that's about it.  He isn't quick enough to or strong enough to stay with the Pacers frontcourt players.  He can't shoot anymore either so there is NO REASON for him to be playing.

Can't wait for BB to return and take his minutes.

My only remaining hope is that KG got the team on the phone at halftime and made a motivational speech full of F-bombs. Any chance it really happened?

I hope everyone on this board remembers this effort tonight ---  I have heard many posters on here rationalize poor efforts by the Celtics with excuses --- that they were tired from playing the second game of a back to back on the road and crap like that.  Doc and the players have used that excuse several times in the past.

Well tonight the Pacers are the ones playing back to back nights.  They are missing their only all star level player and playing in Boston against a Celtic team that is well rested.  Also a Celtic team that would seem to be motivated after losing their only road game of the year to these same Pacers.

The C's are missing KG but have multiple all star level players tonight.

Rondo is getting torched by backup level point guards.  Perk can't hold onto the ball or finish strong.  Ray has missed several open looks.  And the Captain, the veteran leader of this team has been HORRID tonight.  Zero made field goals and no energy.  The only great run the C's made was while he was sitting on the bench.

Will the C's show up and play in the second half?  Regardless it's more of the same with playing poorly at home against poor teams night after night.  This team was supposed to be beyond these types of efforts.  This is not a young team but a veteran group that knows the energy needed to win on a nightly basis.  These are the kind of losses that add up at the end of the year and cost teams home court advantage (although home court may actually hurt this team)

Will Doc light a fire at halftime?  Will anyone besides Eddie House step up?  Will Paul Pierce score at least one basket tonight?

21 and 5, I'm not too worried about the scene you painted.

We'll be alright, but I still want this game so I do agree with ya; we need to come out of this halftime strong.

TP for all the Scal bashing, he deserves it.

I can't understand how this team can't get p---ed by being beaten and humiliated at HOME against the freakin' Pacers against which they should seek for revenge.

Awful, have they lost their pride or what?

please fill me in (down here in Vol land) about kevin garnett's condition ............ i understood ainge to say "some soreness around the knee."

so which is it - a thigh bruise or more problems with garnett's knee ?

(not that garnett's absence is any justification for this team's bipolar personality)
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce
