The time to trade Tony is right NOW!!!

The time to trade Tony is now while he is playing somewhat well (for tony standards) and is healthy.

His value has never been higher, than at this current time. A healthy Tony Allen, a Tony Allen playiing (decently well), and a Ton Allen with an expiring contract.

We've got to make a move now

(personally i wish we would have done a move i had been saying to day since before the season started TA for Dorell Wright, but d. Wright is  ballin down in MIA , playin the best ball of his career and i doubt they'll let him go)

We all know how this pattern goes, we've seen it far too many times before.

Soon and very soon, Tony Allen will get hurt, lead the league in turnovers, play like a rookie and not a 5 or 6 yr. vet, get hurt, or get injured, and then get hurt again.

This is the time, I think we need to find a way to trade him while this short window of an opportunity last.

He had 2 good games lol. We aren't getting anything in return that would be more worthwhile than having Tony on the team right now.

I find it cute that you think NBA GMs aren't at least thinking about what you're saying, if not two steps ahead of you of knowing, as far as TA "coming down to earth".

I don't think any trade's gonna happen simply because TA's playing for a couple of games. The only player out there worth trading for is probably Nocioni, and the Celtics don't seem like they like the contract.

No GM is ready to believe TA's completely back to pre-injury form yet.  He still has no value other than as an expiring deal at this time.  No GM is looking at him in any other way.

Danny is going to have to wait a while for any GM to have an interest in TA. 

In that situation, if TA reverts to his form of the past 2 years -- TA is still a trading chip as an expiring deal.  No loss there.  IF TA continues playing like pre-injury TA, he's more of an asset to the C's than as a trading chip since he's a second quality wing off the bench and provides insurance against another Marquis injury. 

I'm not against a good trade involving TA, but the premise that he's increased his value with 2 weeks of playing is not realistic.

my question is...if TA is healthy throughout the season, do you want to keep him?

i mean hes coming off the bench healthy these past few games and has been showing us he wants to play ball...wolves game for example...off the bench with 15 pts...1 blk, 6 reb and idk how many ast...that tells me he wants to play...

if health is not an issue do you want to keep him?

or would you trade him to NY possible for Nate?

I'm sorry if you got the impression that I was not considering the GM's. However, if I would factor in the GM perspective, I would take Danny's perspective. If i'm Danny: I know i dont have Marquis until Feb., Bill Walker is still working himself back in shape and I've got Tony Allen who might not be totally 100% from his previous injury, and I've been the GM long enough to know his patterns of injury throughout his career. And one of our goals for this season, was to give Ray and Paul reduced minutes as to be healthy and fresh come playoff time...........Knowing TA's career pattern, and the need for healthy wings (depth)position, I would not be doing my job, if I did not seriously and somewhat aggresively explore and pursue a move involving Tony Allen. (he's put a couple of good games together, so it would make sense to advertise him to other teams now, rather than wait until the next time he gets injured again, or "when he comes back down to earth")

I'd rather keep Tony. He's cheap and when healthy, he can be a monster off the bench.  And he helps with the rebounding too.  Why give that prodution to another tean when we can clearly use it?

I hear what you're saying, but the problem is "WHEN HEALTHY" and "CAN BE" a monster off the bench.

If he were a little bit more durable and consistent, then I would love to keep him (ok maybe not love, but I wouldn't mind keepin him), but I'd rather trade for a player with the same skill level of a Tony Allen, but stays healthier more frequently than Mr.T. Allen.

Yes, but thats the problem. He is finally healthy, and then He'll finally find his way back to wearing a suit for 48 mins. instead of a Jersey for 48 mins. pretty soon. I dont wish an injury on nobody, but I mean lets be real, Tony is gonna be hurt  within the next 5-7 games  or so.

danny has tried to move him before, if we are trading him for a 2nd round pick then it isn't worth it!
expiring contract ?
if he's part of a deal to get a big piece great but I think IF he plays under control he can give us a strong defender for sg off the bench who can give us energy and off rebounds
