Can he be any worse then Rasheed Wallace has been?  I'd consider Rasheed a ballhog.  He takes quite a few bad shots.  Can he be any worse then the 10 technical fouls which Sheed has picked up in what? Only 25 games?  The guy can score, he's better then Eddie House.  I wouldn't mind him.  If it doesn't work out you let him walk at the end of the year.  If we're giving up junk such as Giddens and Shelden Williams, it's not a big loss.
do it

I think he has the tool to become a very good player. I think with proper motivation on the right team he could become a lock down defender with his athletecism.

I would probably trade Giddens and Lester for him, or Giddens and Walker but that's about it.

I think he would be a good fit for the team next year if he was willing to sign a contract near the vet min. As far as him playing on the team this year I think he doesn't have a spot. Once Baby and Marquis come back we have a complete second team that would have no room for him.

If he comes to Boston, let it be with the Patriots....he was a DB in college in the PAC10

He was an extremely good kick returner in college if I remember correctly.

The articles posted by Roy Hobbs are telling.  Now I understand why Mike D isn't playing him.

Intriguing guy I have to say.  I think an energy PG for the second unit would be good.  Less so if he wouldn't pass of course.  Eddie could still play in certain match-ups.  Oviously he would see fewer minutes but I am not sure that is a bad thing.

If Giddens and Lester can get it done what have we really got to lose (except I guess the extra salary)?

its intriguing

rondo  nate
allen  house
pierce daniels  tony
KG     Sheed    BBD
Perk   Shelden

thats 6 out of 12 stars and
thats 12 players out of 15
that could start in at least 6 teams in the league.
leave us with Scal and a rookie as 13 and 14
and one spot to fill

Honestly I love the idea of having Nate if Giddens and Walker are all we have to give up. The way I see it is that we give up 2 players of no use in exchange for a young player who can provide instant offense. The only issue I see is the fact that a House and Robinson backcourt couldn't defend squat. I think Doc could solve this by playing TA at the 2. House is in a slump and TA is well, God knows who this new person is. If TA can keep it up our second unit would have the 1 person who could light a fire and spark a comeback when needed.

Nate isn't the first guy I'd hope to get for $4 million, and there are probably backup PG's out there who would be a better fit, HOWEVER, you do the deal that can be done.  If we did pick him up for scraps, it might be worth it.  We'd have his Bird rights next year, so we could elect to keep him if it worked out.  RFA screwed him this year, but I don't think teams will want him all that much as a FA either, since he's a backup player, so he might be fairly inexpensive, and we could use the MLE next year for a solid younger wing.

The 2nd unit could use the aggressiveness, and he can handle, shoot, and drive.  Eddie can't handle or drive, so he would be an upgrade.  Nate's minutes would come at the expense of Eddie's, so it might make sense to trade Eddie for Nate in some combination to make the numbers work.

And running with Nate would get Sheed in shape...and he'd be too out of breath to harp at the ref's!

It would involve chemistry risk, as any trade would, but there are some big possible rewards, too.

I actually would like the idea of Nate coming to Boston. Could bring the ball up for us, The only thing is where does Eddie go? I am thinking i could deal with him not being here. So i guess we will see in the coming days. Could be a scary lineup of

Nate
Tony
Daniels
BBD
Sheed

That is a very scoring, fast, and get to the rim team.

Looks pretty good on paper, but not sure how it would work on the court. I suppose that Nate knows he would be coming off the bench and he'd have to share the ball.  I think he might be out to prove those wrong who say he can't play team oriented ball.  I mean he would have to play team ball if he wants to get playing time on this team, right?  Wouldn't make sense for him to come here and be a ballhog, because he'd just be benched like in New York.

I always will welcome a player that wants to come to Boston. Even from the Knicks lol seriously though I would enjoy Nate here would be an instant fan favorite and would create a bunch of energy. He can knock down 3's and drive very well. The only thing is we might have to give up on house for him... I am not sold of the idea of giving up on Eddie but I do believe that Nate brings more scoring and more things to the Celtics then Eddie would.

Seeing that Nate is a better football player than basketball maybe he should try the Pats.

I don't want both Nate and House on the bench they're too small. With that said i'd swap House for Robinson without much thought.
