I know this has been debated before, but as we approach the end of the season, it makes sense to evaluate the top performers.  Based upon this season, who would you choose as the top five QBs?

I'd say:

1. Peyton Manning
2. Drew Brees
3. Brett Favre
4. Tom Brady
5. Philip Rivers

You can probably make a case for Aaron Rodgers, but I think he takes too many sacks that are unnecessary, and he doesn't strike fear into me the way the others do.  Roethlisberger and Matt Schaub deserve some consideration, as well, but in the end those are the five I go with.

I like your top 4.  Not fond of Rivers as the #5, but I can't think of anybody I'd stick in front of him based on this year's performance.

So yeah, I think you got it right.

Same but shuffled.

1. Manning (Last night again are you kidding me?!)
2. Brees
3. Brady
4. Favre
5. Rivers

Honorable Mention
Rogers (48 sacks?!?!?), Vince Young (Extrpolated over a full season hes having a breakout. It's tough to overlook how well this guy is playing. Hope he's not too hurt, Kurt Warner (always forgotten until his ancient arm is burning your team)

flip grandpa and Brady and I think this is the way it should be.

although, I look at Rodgers differently.  I think the sacks are a product of a horrible o line and not him taking unnecessary ones.  I think with a better o line, he may make a claim to number 5.

I agree here.  Rodgers is having a great year, unfortunately his offensive line isn't helping him too much.  McNabb has also been quiet but has had a very good and efficient year.  Watch out for Philly in the playoffs, this is a team that might be able to go into a shoot out with the Saints if Westbrook gets healthy.  This is the best WR core McNabb has ever had and they are just pure SPEED.
do it

Based upon this year, I don't think there's any way Brady can be at the top.  There have been games where he's looked pretty poor.

No Jay Cutler on anyone's list?

Three and a half months ago, he was supposed to be the savior.  ::)
