The Odyssey was really good. I'm just echoing what seems like a pretty universal opinion, but it was an outstanding adaption of a story that many of us have known and loved since we were kids.
That said, it's not a movie that I anticipate rewatching a lot, and I'm not quite sure why that was. Maybe it didn't connect as emotionally with me as much as some great movies? It engaged my brain more than my heart?
Don't take that as a criticism, though. It's quite good. And no, the criticized casting is not really a distraction, or at least it wasn't to me.
