Highly recommmendable, there's just something about Aronofsky's movies that moves something inside of you.

Natalie Portman is great as usual.

Great movie. I agree Aronofsky's movies really hit it right on the head. He is right below Fincher for me.

Love Arnofsky as well.

Last movie I saw was Taxi Driver with Robert De Niro.  I've wanted to see it for awhile because I'm trying to get through IMDB's top 250 list and Taxi Driver was the highest that I haven't seen (number 46) and it just so happened to be available On Demand.

Then when the "Are you talking to me?" part came on, I was like "ooooooooooooh THAT's the movie where it's from!!"  Great movie, I love the cinemagraphy in the 70s.  Rocky, Vietnam War movies, Godfather, Chinatown, Taxi Driver.  Looking forward to more of these later down the road.

I saw the new "Footloose" was miserable, and this is coming from someone who thoroughly enjoys the first one because it's so... delightfully miserable.

The Muppets. It was really, really awesome. Just self-aware enough so that the corny comes off more as nostalgically cheesey than just straight corny, and not so self-aware that its smug. Really recommend it.

The mid to late 70s was such an awesome time for film.  So many excellent movies came out, all the ones you mentioned above, plus Star Wars, Apocalypse Now, Jaws, All The President's Men, The Sting, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, etc.  I think a majority of my all time favorite movies are from that decade, in which I wasn't even born.

Begrudgingly,   The Lorax.

It was better than I thought it would be.  I just love the original so much.  Too much of the kid and not enough Lorsx vs Onceler.

In my book the only decent redone Seuss movie has been Horton Hears a Hoo.
Yup

Just got back from Hunger Games... Didnt read the book... It was entertaining and enjoyable but i personally dont think it met the hype. I had a few criticisms with it but it was fairly enjoyable... Around the 6.7 out of 10 for me.

Loved the heck out of that movie. Also really recommend that.

21 Jump Street. No actor has ever changed my perception of them more in a single film than Channing Tatum did, he was hilarious.
