What we are in need of is in Miami

So far watching the first handful of games, I think its clear, that we could use an athletic wing.

Marquis is a very good player, and versatile, but he does not possess the athleticism that is seen in a lot of wings in the league. (the flexibility and fluidity in movement, Quis is a more stiff form of athletic...and this is not a dis at Quis, its just not the kind of player he is.

(the flexible athleticism player are players like, ex. (ariza, outlaw, kirilenko, pietrus, etc.)
(then you have your superfreaks, josh smith, lebron, jamario moon, iggy, etc.)

I think we could use a young athletic wing, and also, to help reduce the mins. for Ray and Paul.

This trade works: TONY ALLEN and JR GIDDENS.....to Miami....for DORRELL WRIGHT

I believe Tony straight up works also.

Bringing in Wright, would give us a young (flexible) athletic wing 6'9", championship exp., and still only 23 yrs old...same as Rondo.
Wright might be the only player who, wont disrupt Doc's rotation in a major way, unlike brining in an Allen Iverson or recently rumored Nocioni.

With the other young teams, with a lot of athletic wings we will see throughout the season and  most likely see in the post season, I think it would be very useful to have at least 1 or 2 athletic  young players to combat defensively: the orlando's with (pietrius, barnes, vc, etc.) Atlanta's(josh smith, jamall crawford, etc.) Wizards(butler, stevenson, miller, jamison, etc.)

Rondo/(daniels)/Hudson
Ray/House/Walker/(wright)
Pierce/(daniels)/Wright
KG/BBD/Scal
Perk/Sheed/Williams

He's a project wing.  We have those.

From what I've read, he can do just about anything, but nothing very well.  He blocks some shots, but is a middling defender.  He can slash and shoot a little bit, but he does neither at a high level.  He doesn't make the best decisions with the ball, and he doesn't work very well off the ball.

He's toolsy, but we don't need tools.  We need production.  He can't give us the type of production we need.

I wouldn't say he has championship experience.  He happened to be on a team that won a championship.  He didn't make any notable contributions.  He's in the same boat as Gabe Pruitt, Adam Morrison, etc.

Also, I think you're underselling Quis's athleticism a bit.  He's energy-efficient:  does what he has to.  If he needs to be quick, he'll be quick.  If he needs to get up, he'll get up.  He's just not the kind of flashy athlete that I think you're looking for.  That's not a bad thing, and I don't even think it really helps a team that much (although it may get us more SportsCenter highlights).

Thats exactly right, he can do anything, but nothing very well. That first paragraph you wrote, pretty much sums up everything TA and JR cant do, w/ the exception of doesn't make the best decision with the ball. TA and JR can do that easily.

But I say championship exp. in the sense, of him being around an atmosphere of guys and organization that is about championships, and that whole enviornment, not necessarily him playing (my bad, shoulda explained that a lil more) So him coming to Boston would not be a "culture shock" in a sense.

And Im not underselling Quis' athleticism, I understand he is "energy-efficient" (great way of explaining it) but i think with Quis being EE and PP being an EE type coupled with mileage on the legs of the 30+ yr old. I think we need a not "flashy" bcuz D. Wrights game is no where close to that, but a player with athletic energy, and agility.

He is a tools type player, which on the Celtics will translate into production.
His tools in Miami were not translating into trying no productive because they were trying to turn him into a "future franchise star" so they labeled him a project wing.

In Boston he wont be turned into a project, he'll be used for his tools, thats all we need,
and thats all we are gonna get in return for the value of TA and JR.

Wright has looked fairly good in the games I've seen of him this season. Improved jumper with three point range. He always was a good rebounder and a solid defender. He's someone to watch as the season progresses.

I'd like to have him on the C's. A nice alternative on the wing.

No interest in Wright (and Riley presumably has no interest in Tony Allen). But I agree we could use an athletic wing player, particularly one named... LUC RICHARD MBAH A MOUTE

Wright is blossoming into a solid role-player. I don't think that offer would be enough to get him.

We could also use LeBron James, Dwight Howard, and Earl Smith.

I don't think any of them are available either.
