We want AI to join the Lakers and ruin their chemistry.

Yeah, sign me up for that!

I didn't want Marbury on the Celtics, and I REALLY don't want Iverson. There is no way this happens. Marbury at least accepted his role as the backup. It is clear that Iverson is still a starting pg in his mind. Him and Rondo would clash the second they met. Iverson was a problem on the Pistons too, so it's not just really bad teams he is a problem on. I think there is a 0% chance it happens.

I don't want AI on this team.  Since no one in the league will offer him a starting job, he'll be going overseas just so he can start.  The guy's as nuts as Marbury, he's done in the league.
do it

We want AI because we don't want him on the Lakers...

Iverson, Bryant, Artest, Odom, Gasol is scary

Iverson, Allen, Pierce, KG, Sheed is scary

You're right. Adding Iverson to the celtics starting lineup is VERY scary. Scary in a way where I cringe at the thought of it. Hey, lets bench our PG of the future who we just signed to an extention for an over the hill pg with a terrible me-first attitude. ??? Really? You just expect Iverson to come in and mold with the team and the starting lineup who are now in their third year playing together. Come on.

Let him go to L.A. The thought of him, Kobe, and Artest on the same team makes me laugh. That team will implode before the All-Star break if that is the case.

I want Iverson on the Celtics too.

Iverson, in no way shape or form, is he a cancer or chemistry killer.

Memphis was losing way before and for a while, long before AI's arrival.

Detroit's chemistry issues stemmed from Dumars' over hyped infatuation with Rodney Stuckey and the removal of Billups killed that Pistons team, not AI.

Iverson left the Grizzlies because they wouldn't play him, even when the team was losing. Of course, any competitor would be peeved off. If you didn't get upset then something is wrong with you and I don't want you on my team, period.

He'd be a massive upgrade over Eddie House. The problem is, he's already made it quite clear that he will not accept playing Eddie House's role.

Iverson would only come to Boston if he was going to start in front of Rondo. That'd be a very bad thing for our team.

Wow, Iverson not a chemistry killer or cancer? Now I've heard it all. We can go back to his "practice" days in Phili and go all the way to today when his contract was terminated. In Detroit he demanded that he start, forcing RIP to come off the bench. The guy quit on his team after 3 games in Memphis. 3 GAMES!! What happened to earning playing time? If he went in with a good attitude and performed well, they would have been forced to play him in Memphis. But his attitude got in the way, like it would here. We don't need that type of player here and he won't be here. Let him go play oversees where he can start there.

To put this god-awful idea in its appropriate context:

I would rather give Tony Allen a five-year extension, bring back Gerald Green and trade Perkins to oblivion for Paddy O'Blount than sign Allen Iverson.

High risk with potentially very high return. Gotta go with A.I. Yeah, he may be a chemistry killer and if so, cut him loose. The Lakers have Artest, the least we can do is counter with A.I. The guy can score like few players who have ever played the game. So what if he's not the same player he was, maybe he will be when we need him the most.

Why do the Celtics need him?

They already have four guys that can do what he does; jack up a lot of shots and score 20+ points while having a bad shooting %.

He doesn't help with defense.  He doesn't help with rebounding.  He kills the locker room.

TP.

We didn't get him before the season, why get him now? Our backup PG is Daniels.

Isn't funny how teams always improve once he leaves?

Philly, Denver, Detroit...  and lets face it, Memphis has only one way to go.

I'm quite sure I'd rather Lester Hudson get run than AI at this point in time.
