Call me a conspiracy theorist. He's not attacking the rim what so ever. Rondo wants to lead the league in assists and steals. How else can you explain 10 FTA in 9 games? His best offensive weapons are points in the paint. He won't get accolades by scoring points, but he will if he leads the league in Assists and Steals.

This is not of the nothing to see variety here. There is more going on.

Actually that was 2 games ago. The game before last night he outplayed Deron Williams.

I feel like I have actually seen this happen a few times this season. There were definitely a few plays where he was ahead of the pack, and he dished backwards to a guy to get the assists and not the points. These plays never actually hurt us cause they were on plays where the opposition had conceded the point. However, they were still awkward and completley unneccessary padding. I think even gorman said something like Rondo "wants the assists." However, I am not sure of his thinking here. I think even if he is worried about stats teams are gonna be more impressed with a guy that averages 10 points 8 assists then a guy that averages 4 points and 10 assists.
