I'm not saying i want to sign him (although i beleive skill-wise he's better than JR, attitude-wise he's not close) But where is he right now?

He should play for the Maine Red Claws so i can watch him dunk.

OK, I just spent several minutes searching for GG's whereabouts and came up empty.  He's not on an NBA roster anyhow.
Yup

He's studying for the SAT.

Just kidding.

He's at a defensive skills camp.

Just kidding.

He's working in a bakery because quote, "you have to BE the cupcake to blow OUT the cupcake."

Just Kidding.

He's selling the rims off his hummer to pay for fod because "we in a recession, and I can't get no combo meal."

Well...

that last one might be true.

Sorry Gerald.

RIP.

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

  • Rondo = Good
The best thing he could do for himself would be to go play in Israel or somewhere else in Europe and come back in a couple years.  Maybe he could be a role player.

I say Israel because it seems that's the place to go - Will Bynum went there a nobody and came back a really great backup pg.  There was some other guy who did the same thing but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

He's sewing Dwight's "Superman" cape so he can attempt that "super"-lame NON-dunk that he won with again this year, (and we can watch the even lamer dunk "experts" shamelessly stroke him like he's God's gift to basketball). Gag.

I happen to live in Israel, and there are quite a few players who came from the NBA to Israel, but not so many did the switch back: Jasikevicius, Anthony Parker, Will Bynum, Roger Mason Jr, etc. There are a couple more. But I would really love to see Gerald play here. Anyhow, there are quite a few players this season in Israel who played either in the NBA or in the NCAA.

I'm amazed not one team brought him for training camp. Out of the pages of Harold Minor, he's likely done in the NBA.

[/quote   I look at his tools and I still can't believe he's not on a roster.  Not just his athleticm, but the guy has a nice soft jumpshot that he can get over anyone.  I think its more of his mental makeup than anything.  I don't think college would change his work habbits and focus.

Here's a very brief article, doesn't mention his whereabouts, but the writer does make it sound as if his situation is dire when it comes to playing basketball.

Not me.  Scouts take one look at his game and he doesn't even get drafted.  There was a reason that his agent wouldn't let him work out for any teams prior to the draft.  Smart move.

I'd also be surprised if he played overseas.  Don't you have to at least be fundamentally sound to play overseas?
