Can anyone deny that when I said I had a great rebounding team and great defensive team(with starters Luis Scola, gerald Wallace, Joel Przybilla, Stephen Jackson and Ramon Sessions) that I was right? The Boxers have 3 of the top per game rebounders in the league(including the best in Wallace). The Boxers have three of the top per minute rebounders in the league(including the best in Przybilla).
The Boxers claimed that the bench was young and deep and that players like George Hill(who will start getting starting time and big numbers in SA), Julian Wright(now starting in NO), Anthony Morrow(proving what a great shooter and scorer he is night in and night out, currently over 50% from the field and from three) and Kris Humphries(solid ninth man) would shine. I think the numbers look good so far.
But because the big names weren't there, the Boxers didn't get the votes. But then again most who voted probably would never have thought that a team made up of Scola, Landry, Cook, Battier, Artest, Lowry, Brooks, and Hayes would have taken the Lakers to seven games or currently be an extremely impressive group.
