I thought Rasheed played well. good effort, timely 3's and nice defense. Were you impressed with Wallace's first game as a Celtic?

Pretty much what I expected from him. He clearly quit on the Pistons last year. Hopefully he can stay motivated and healthy this year. He's been nicked up a lot lately.

I was impressed overall - his ability to sink 3s is a big, big asset to the bench both for points and spreading the floor for others.  But he seemed to tire and lose his stroke later in the game, and struggled to get off good shots closer in.  I'm not a "Sheed needs to post up 12 times a game!" guy, but I'd like to see more from him offensively than just pick and pops for 3.

Rebounding and defense seemed pretty good too though; overall, he's a huge upgrade from last year.  And one game does not a season make  ;D  But over the next few games I'd like to see just a little more offensive versatility, because we're much, much more dangerous when his entire offensive repertoire is in play.

I'be been impressed with Sheed since 1996, when he joined the Blazers.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
I was very pleased to see defense overall
once sheed on bron, once pierce on bron, once ray on bron once kg on bron.
that make the offensive player think too much
I love that strategy

David Thorpe mentioned this yesterday, but if Big Baby comes back well, and Marquis continues to hit the open 3...we may have one of the most dangerous benches.

I don't think Marquis will hit the open 3 at a good rate but he does mostly everything else well it doesn't matter.   He had some smooth drives to the hoop last night.  Love it.

Sheed, Ray, Paul, and House have to be the best 3 point foursome in the league.

I thought he played smart -- thought he boxed out well, played solid D and hit his shots.  What more can you ask of game 1?

If Baby and Scal come back healthy, this is the best bench in the league. There will probably be a mid season pick up as well probably a backup point guard.

Very impressed but never noticed how often he relies on the 3 ball. I still would like to see what he has left as far as post moves.
Can't stop, Rondo!

YES !!!  he should start.  I love Perk, but Rasheed is a legend, and KG and Rasheed playing together is soooo ridiculous, impossible to defend them.

I want to add that Sheed plays under control -- his experience is so apparent.  His game is not like Bill Walton's, but the feel of this addition to the Big 3 is very similar.  He add an experienced, smart player who plays a supporting, but key role -- melding seamlessly when with the starters and playing an anchoring role when with bench players.
