4:00 AM - so much for getting your rest Glen......nothing good happens at 4:00 AM driving around in an SUV with liquor and two guys (even of they are with two girls) Just stay home and party there....disgusting ....rich single guy with money and some fame and he can't handle it......idiot. Youth is wasted on the young.

Because obviously hanging out with your best friend and your girlfriend is a recipe for disaster. I have to say I find some of the posts in here hilariously ridiculous. Rich doesn't even come into the equation.

And some of the same people that excuse some of the stupid behavior by Delonte West. lol

This makes it even more important to me for Alabama to stomp a mud hole in LSU a week from Saturday.   ;)

We all have these old college "friends" who are just bad news.

Let's just start tonight by sticking it to perhaps the most famous LSU basketball alum since Pistol Pete...Shaq.  Someone needs to pay...why not just take it out on LSU?   >:(

How did he hurt his thumb throwing a punch? Boxing is one of my non-Celtics related hobbies, and I've never injured a thumb. Wrists, pinkies and index fingers, sure.. but a thumb? Looks like that MMA training isn't working for him. Even without gloves, working on the heavy bag I've never hurt a thumb. He must have been slapping like every other pansy pro athlete.

Childish either way, dude needs to grow up a bit.

Looks like Glen was defending his girl.  His friend probably got drunk and did or said something bad.  Sorry, but I can't be that upset with him for this-- sure, I'm ticked that he's hurt and not going to play, but I can't get too upset. What kind of guy wouldn't defend his girl?
I'm sorry - I guess we come from different worlds - but given the details that we know of this situation, I can't fathom a justifiable explanation for fighting. But you know, it's a reap-what-you-sow kind of world. People are perfectly free to go hang out with drunk people in the wee hours of the morning, but if you do, the law of averages says this kind of stuff is bound to happen sooner or later. Chances if this happening if Davis chooses a quiet night at home with his girl? ZERO.

Sorry for the rant, but it grows old see people defend the practice of standing on the edge of a proverbial cliff. There's nothing inherently wrong with standing at the edge of a cliff and everything might turn out fine. But don't tell me that it's anything other than a stupid decision to actually spend any time at the edge of a known cliff - it's dangerous - eventually you're bound to fall off. Maybe you'll escape with a few cuts a bruises, but does that mean it was still worth it in the first place?

Ok. End of rant. Sorry.

Lol, most probably... yet you don't condone Baby fighting back when his best friend threw the first punch after that best friend was talking crap about his girlfriend (fiancee?).

Really, I wonder who the heck in the NBA would have handled that better. You get punched you punch back, that's practically standard procedure particularly after a heated argument. It's the great minority that would've gotten hit under those cirucmstances and done absolutely nothing about it.

I know your objection is to being out at 4 am with drinks (where they drinking in the SVU? I haven't read that at all)... which you find disgusting, and I find your objection to it ridiculous. As if being out late makes you a punk... it doesn't.

First of all it specifically says neither Davis nor his girlfriend were drunk.  Secondly, I highly doubt the driver was legally drunk, reporters would typically make a big deal about that.  And why wouldn't Davis or his girlfriend offer to drive him...?

As for Baby, the whole self-defense thing is stupid.  I wonder how hard the guy hit him WHILE HE WAS DRIVING.  Also, I wonder why Baby was dumb enough to punch someone who was driving him and his girlfriend thus putting them in danger.  If he was truly trying to defend himself, he'd probably have tried to grab him and tried to get out of the car, rather than challenging him to a boxing match.  I'm willing to bet he only punched him for payback.  He should have held himself back.

I honestly don't think the best way to go about this is suspending Baby for additional games.  Why should our team suffer anymore because of his stupidity.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

This could turn out to be a very very big mistake for BBD.  Williams is now going to get time to get comforatable and to show what he can do.  If he surprises, BBD will have to really fight for playing time when he returns.  Could be good for the C's overall, but could be an awful career mistake for Baby.  The natural consequence in this case oould be a lot worse than any suspension.

i think wyc was dumb to state his displeasure the way he did to the media.

BBD could have hurt himself purely out of self defense.

Don't be at the wrong place at the wrong time is not possible 100 percent of the time.

I'm not disagreeing with the suspension because either way bbd shouldn't be paid to sit down with an injury non basketball related but still you can't turn your back on the guy like wyc did imo

Tommy point. Any way you slice it, hitting someone that is driving you is about as dumb as you can get (as is fighting all together). If you get a good shot in you can potentially lose your life. Its up there with drunk mountain climbing.

For anyone who says they can't fathom fighting please explain what you would do following someone, who you thought was your boy, getting inappropriate with your fiancee who lives in your house and you told him to shut the F up and he punched you in the face.  What sort of non violent responsible response do you have planned?

I think it was the dudes ride I don't think he was driving there was probably a hang up on that so they said he was driving or nobody actually ever asked because the car was parked.
